I have been working for an interior designer making valances and have just started working for a drapery company. At this time I am only making valances. Your instructional videos have been so educational and has helped me so much. Thank you for taking the time to teach us easier ways to make valances and draperies. You are much appreciated.
Scott Weaver to the Rescue...Again! I just purchased a gorgeous fabric to finish a 60 inch window over the sink in the kitchen and sliders with long windows on either side in the breakfast nook (160" angled area). What to do, what to do with all that beautiful fabric... After watching this video, I'll be off to a great start. No matter where I look for ideas, I always come back to your wonderfully explained and accurate videos to get me in motion. At first this project seemed daunting. Now I am excited to begin and confident about how the finished project will complement the space. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skill!
Thank you for posting this! I just finished a box-pleat valance (with contrasting fabric in the pleats) for my sons' bathroom and it came out great. I never would have tried making it but your video gave me courage. Thanks!
I Love this pattern. It will be perfect for the curtains I am making for my grand daughters nursery. The Pink Chevron with a pink reveal and the addition of some ruffles and bows will look soooo Adorable ! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent.
Scott, Thanks for posting this great video. Is it possible to do this without the scalloped bottom edge using the same technique? I am unsure how wide to cut my panels for a board that is going to be a 40" wide
Thanks. Great videos! With the scallop, how do I put the lining on in such a way that it doesn't extend to the very end? I understand the concept when it's a straight edge, but not sure if that works with the scallop???
What I forgot to point out is the banding hangs off of the bottom of valance and can be seen from both the lining and front side of valance so you get a clean finish. I think this topic will be my next video!
Hi Scott, I see in some of you videos you are using an air staple gun... Can you pls tell me what kind of staple gun you are using?I see the air tube but don't hear a compressor running in the back round.thanks
