    I miss traveling by train. Besides a few touristic trains here and there, I think there are only cargo trains in Brazil nowadays 😥
    Seeing you in that train sent me back to a very happy part of my childhood, when I used to go with my mom once a week to her PhD classes 🤩

      We're happy the video brought back happy memories for you! Train rides can definitely be nostalgic and it's a shame they're not as common anymore.

    We followed up a one way cruise to Whittier with 10 days of rental car up to Fairbanks. Played golf a couple times and finally, on the last day, saw the northern lights!!! Beautiful place. Loved Talkeetna the best.

      So happy you are tuning in for these adventures! We visited India in 2017 when we moved back from living in China. We flew into Delhi and flew out of Mumbai, visiting cities along the way. India is so beautiful as well! We hope we can return one day and do some episodes about our experience there. ❤️

    I enjoy your videos every Sunday. So fully of history. Going to Whittier in winter is also beautiful with all of the snow. And the hiking and berry picking and summer are always enjoyable.
    Hopefully you'll be able to check out the Whittier museum and grab some food at the local restaurant near the warehouses when you're there again.
    I try to take the train at least once a year. It's always beautifully scenic.
    If you're able to take the train from Anchorage to Seward, I'd highly recommend it. I also like the Hurricane Turn roundtrip train from Talkeetna. In the winter its only the first Thursday of the month at noon. You get to see the whistle stop areas. It's also beautiful in the summer.
    It's such a beautiful state.

    Okay, so how did you film the train shots? Did they allow you to mount your cameras to the engine???

    • @ArtWeThereYet
      @ArtWeThereYet  7 місяців тому

      Good question! The train car we were riding had two windows on either end, overlooking the front and the back of the train. We placed our iPhone right up against the glass - this removes the glare from the glass. We were happy the shots came out so well!
