I just bought this book in Target for my 6 1/2 year-old boy four days ago. Didn’t realize he wrote it. 😅 It’s a beautiful book.
Black people need more books like this. 🙂
I think everyone needs more books like this. For different reasons. I also think people forget that these issues aren’t US specific. In Brasil - we just approached these problems differently. There is less fear of losing power and it allowed us to move forward with more grace. I digress. It’s a beautiful book.
I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Sellers a few years ago and he is an incredible person. He is 100% accurate about this generation having no empathy. My own children can not relate to the struggle my grandparents went through in Europe as Jews and their struggle to get out and come to America!
I could listen to more of this all day. I love what develops when intelligent and articulate people converse.
I agree. I wish Trevor did more long form interviews, he's an excellent conversationalist
Wow " a bounced check"...couldn't have explained it better. Love this Brother!!!
I love Bakari, such a smart dude who gets the illnesses of America like House diagnosing a patient
I love House. May start watching that show again!!
Don't forget about our First Nations too! Great show Trevor 👏
Take care of your kids and your wife 🙏🏾 🙌🏾
“We live in a country that has an empathy deficit…” TRUTH 👌🏾
Love this brother he's an inspiration
Guys got his priorities right. Hope he does return to office in the future.
I agree with him there's nothing wrong with learning about where other people come from. Learning their history and their culture and I agree colorblindness in that sense shouldn't really be taught. We should be aware of other people and having that empathy does help us to understand each other a lot better because there is an appalling lack of that that's why there's so much racism
Great interview! Gorgeous book.
“Everyday is Black history month.” I like this phrase, it speaks loud! It should become a permanent slogan worldwide!!
I've been telling my kids this for years
@@millionairemoney9922 Have to start proclamation young!!😉
I loved watching him debating on CNN. Bright handsome young man! Would be the perfect replacement for Jim Clyburn.
facts.. color blindness needs to be reversed. I need you to see my color and my culture and not to underestimate me. See my skill and my unique perspective.
❤️ I would vote for him.
I saw Bakari n I just had to click 🥰🥰🥰
I’m getting the book!
The part about being colorblind hits. Full agreement.
I have teen aged children but will be buying this book and saving it for grandchildren or great nieces/nephews in the future.
You both are nice looking men!!! Very intelligent and knowledgeable!! I’m very proud of both of you!!!
"I still believe in tomorrow." I'll vote for that.
I like Mr. Seller. Smart man. Blessings
I’ve never heard of Bakari but he could run on that
Super interesting interview👏💙
Trevor is so very handsome ...and his guest too. Great stuff!! ❤
Thank you for introducing me to this gentleman. New authors, original thinking, and WOW materials added to reading list
Bounced check for sure
Great Interview and Message!
Love it ... thank you
And I say "Oh well!" White people (like me) "Get over it (your discomfort) and learn from the experience of others"
I love this video💕 Nowadays successful people don't become that way overnight. What most people see at a glance-wealth, a great career, purpose is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life 🙏💖
Most people don't invest due to ignorance
as a newbie investing in crypto will be the best for you, I know of a portfolio / investment manager, William's Armstrong Trading services, an expertise in trade investment as you don't have to under go any stress in...
My first Investment with Expert William's Armstrong has earned me profits of over $24,320 us dollars and ever since then he has been delivering.
😢I lost £1200 carelessly trading on a platform then i was referred to Mr William's and he recovered the loss and made an extra profit of £7600.
Yes I have worked with 4 traders in the past but none of them are as efficient as he is , his trading strategies are awesome..
Here’s something amazing I’m noticing. I’m catching up on my Trevor Noah from the last two weeks and loved this segment. I like to read the comments to see what my fellow humans have yo say, but I noticed that almost every single episode with another black person has a fraction of the views that have white or non-black guest.
What does this say? Joe Rogan got over 1 million views, yet something this powerful has less than 50k?!
We have a looooooong way to go it might seem 😔
That is interesting. I tend to think that more viewers want to see 'train wrecks' and the AA guests TN brings on are anything but...Joe Rogan, on the other hand...😐
I love Bakari💜💜💜💜💜
Interesting interview
I’m Somali and pure African decent born in Africa there’s no month for African for us every day is African day
What is your point and what is "pure African decent born"? We got it, you're Somali!
You make no sense.. no such thing as Pure African.. or Pure European.. its where you are born at.
Trev you are so awesome as a host I like it . Who are your people .
🤣 oh I love 💕 these sunny people 💕🎉
It's not anti-intellectual it's anti-black. I blame my own ppl bc it's too much turning the other cheek. Every time they ban one of ours, we should ban one of theirs. Being nice has failed for 400yrs.
Respect
❤❤❤❤
Buying his book and Stacy Abrams book. #blackhistorymonth
Uyiphinde ledyasi Trevor, iyakufanela👌
The anti-blackness of America is unique. We have spent so much time taking what has happened to specifically black people and said no minority should suffer these offenses. Which is true but we continue to fail blackness and the hatred it uniquely receives. America has an anti-blackness issue, not just a race problem.
It's not just America, it's global.
While what you say is definitely true, It's the same with every underclass. It's been the same with the "lower" castes in India. I believe it's the same in Japan. Read the book "Caste" by Wilkerson.
@@danni1993 sure but the USA set the president and sustained its dehumanization of black people for the longest time in the modern era. Globally countries are taking cues from how America treats black people.
@@meta5291 it’s nowhere near the same. The underclass around the world aren’t universally dehumanized. The underclass in China/Japan/India are not holistically presented as and seen as the worse of humanity in other countries.
@@leftboxanderson5361 Yes, true.
is it just me or do these two have ✨chemistry ✨
It is just you
Right?!?!?!?! That last little bit at the end was B e a u t i f u l. I just kept replaying it! 😊❤
Mr Seller's said it, deficit of empathy
I would like to buy this book. Where can I purchase it?
To everyone who is reading this, you’re cool and adorable. Please stay safe and healthy! Eat more fruits and veggies for a healthy lifestyle! Lastly, let's do whatever we can to save our beautiful Planet Earth!
It's funny - and also utterly horrific - that MJT, Cawthorn and Gaetz have any relevance or significance at all
I miss seeing Bakari on CNN.
He looks different without the beard like this is the original bakari sellers that I remember
I Agree, teacher’s take notice
Wow! The thought that this book will get banned. stuff happened, it’s history.
Bakari. 😊😙🤗
Please can someone send me a link?
💕❤️💯❤️💕❤️ more handsome in person 🤔🤔🤔 wow
😊🤗🤗🤗
Well done kings speak the truth it’ll set us free free indee
Well, they are both very handsome…
Can you add an Arabic translation to the vedios?
Yeah that promissory note as Dr. King called it has no value. It's the reason Kaepernick took a knee at all those games. He wasn't seeing the America as the America it could be. The America we were promised. It could be so much more but keeps falling short.
Yes Baker, you should run for office.
High IQ & EQ 💪
What is his real name of Bakari sellers
Maybe try doing real Social Studies classes with Anthropological approach. Ethnographies of different ethnic groups including ones own if they know. I have had students who honestly didn't know their own ancestry other than being born in the U.S. So maybe even have classes with a bit of genealogy. Have kids do presentations on their own ethnicity and 2 others that they research...
We did that as a project in my history class but that was in college. Great idea bringing it to high school level. It could only help!
@@titanman33 We did something similar in 8th grade in very rural Illinois in 1976. Mr. Schumacher's class at Franklin Grove Elementary School... part of the bicentennial celebrations.
I love my Bae, but Bakari!! Uhm uhm!!! #crackaintblack -he’s growing backwards 🔥
He is kyrie Erving 👌🤣😂
Bakari,
We need smart fox like you to fill high office in order to not have people such as Marjorie Green in the Congress.
What would you say to someone who claims that they are pro-Israel because they are pro peace?
Personally I don't any book should be banned our intelligence dimishes
You have to shout down the supremacists. Big time.
The interview started off weird 😳
So I worked at a Hotel in South Carilina where Bakari Sellers was a regular, never paid his bill the entire year I was there, and often came late night with escorts. I'm sure some of those escorts, who were high end BTW, were paid by him ,however how much do you think went on the his "business" account.
I ordered lewsmax
🗽💌🔒👨👩👦👦📚
Thx
Naw
Is less empathy today then in 1960?🤔
Funny how they forget to remember native Americans...
Who is "they"?
How his name is BAKARI
Is his parents from Tanzania ?that's the most KISWAHILI name I have seen......
His folks are from Denmark, SC. His father Cleveland is a professor and civil rights leader. Not sure how they got to Bakari though 🙂
@@titanman33 Thanks
Everyday is black history.Where is Trevor from WOW
Love the show but i believe the natives felt the first wave of it
Bakari Sellers … I wonder what his superpac is doing right now….
Really awkward start
You are either the 99% or the 1%. The 99% needs to recognize they are not the 1%. Only then will things change.
Until people learn all the colors, things are still bleak.
Look at those two guys, they're called black.
Other than their garments none of them is black. And then we come to white! We need a lesson about colors.
Nonsense
Black Wife ✅
Mr Sellers is a tad delusional if he thinks there was more empathy at any other time in history.
At least we weren't at the point of book banning.
...but THAT is what "black" means (SMH)...
Is pride really what you want to transmit? You should be proud of your upbringing, of the pros of your culture...but you should also be aware of your flaws and the pros other cultures/countries/educations/backgrounds/etc can give you. Black pride is as bad as white pride. It is defined by racial contours, and the baseline for racism.
He is wrong - "color blind" means that that I see you as a human .... nothing more nothing less...you will understand it once you start working for a MNC or at a place with lot of diversity ...
Try being a well-educated, personable non-violent alcoholic. It's genetic. Tell that go my careers.
JOE ROGAN RULES.. LETS GO BRANDON
You are why we cant have nice things in
America
I’m of
