The 6AL tach output wire is GRAY not brown and seems to not be necessary unless running a tach outside the Holley EFI. Its unclear what tach output should be used, I assume its the tach output from the CD box as it was recommended to wire per the CD box instructions.
I wish in those scenarios he would also go into the different types of factory tachometers and how to get the different models like a Ford factory tach when running a MSD Pro Billet magnetic distributor to operate and what the correct tach adapter is utilized with which type systems.Theres also different types of aftermarket tachs too analog and digital high speed stepper ..
Also in his directions he states to set the distributor 15* advanced btdc.If still using the HEI distributor w/module I think its more like 10*.. The magnetic pickup and reluctor blade on a MSD magnetic pickup distributor must be referenced between 45-60 degrees...Not 15*.......15* is used as a static reference angle to verify that timing is correct between the balancer and the ECU..........
So you can do timing control with a CD box and magnetic pickup? Does the distributor need to be unlocked? I have a professional products distributor and CD box it’s a magnetic output distributor and I have it locked out currently. It does not have an adjustable rotor. And I don’t think they make one for that distributor.
Can the Sniper or Atomic 2 systems be combined with the MSD Ignition Direct Ignition System (DIS) Kit Small Block Chevy, Big Block Chevy - Black Part Number: 121-601513?
If im running a non timing control setup(coil negative) using a GM style HEI distributor that has a vacuum cannister, do I connect the vacuum cannister or do I plug it?

You need a phased rotor for timing control .
So can you run sniper with stock hei ? I thought he was saying you could then went on to say a distributor that’s not locked out can cause damage

What's a good ignition box for a sync cam with a sniper EFI carb for coil per plug.
Can I control the timing using my 8360 distributor if I lock out the vacuum advance and install the adjustable rotor?

I have had 2 in three ears, first one started running real rough, Holley replaced, 2nd one lasted ten months and completelly quit
i have install my sniper but my hand held screen does not light up i can barely see the icons but bt enough to do any tuning anybody know a solution ?
