If you believe that humans should do nothing in the way of solving genetic problems in the hopes of saving lives, then by that narrative, I would assume that you don't go to the doctors when you are sick, nor do you take your children there, because we, as descendants of Adam and Eve, are now reaping the consequences of their Original Sin and are therefore doomed to die anyway, so why bother? (Romans 5:12).
