Leo with hair is one of those things that looks really weird at first but the more I see it the more I’m fully convinced that he pulls it off with beauty and grace.

Yeah it was funny how all of the episodes took place at the same time and tied into each other especially at the end
It's better than that! They played around with when they were arrested. After all, it was a nice concept seeing Raph already in the prison before we got to his part.

I'm really disappointed Nickelodeon didn't get Sean Astin to play Heinous Green in Raph's episode considering they got Seth Green, Greg Cipes, and Rob Paulson to play the other turtle's evil personas...would've been a nice reunion of the 2012 ninja turtles voices from seasons 3-5
I feel that he and Greg were miscast in the 2012 series so I really didn't mind Sean's absence.
His voice wouldn't fit a giant like heinous green. Besides, HG isn't an analog to raph the way the mud dogs were to the 2012 turtles.

My favorite parts were Raph and Leo's adventures. It's so random, chaotic, and hilarious. Did I ask for it? No. Am I glad it exists? Absolutely.
I love how Raph is so unlikely to get into trouble on his own that the only reason he ends up in prison at all is because he just got mistaken for someone else. He's literally the epitome of "looks like he could kill you | is actually a cinnamon roll"

It's funny to think Draxum and Big Mama is the turtle step dad and mom.
Draxum is the biological father of the turtles, but big mama as the turtles step mother is so funny to me

Spliter in this version is actually their biological father since Draxum used Yoshi himself to mutate the turle.
Step father is more correct.

@@phlpcockrell well Draxum was the one to make them into mutants, essentially giving them life (I know they were already alive as normal turtles, but he made them into who they are now with human sentience) plus Mikey sees Draxum and Splinter as his dads from the “my two dads” line

@@Zistheone2 yes, but in this show the mutagen acts by combining two living things that have recently come into contact by combining their dna (some in-show examples are a cat/praying mantis, as well humans and a variety of different things like a pig or worm, the strangest being the corpse flower) , the turtles were created when draxum tried to merge the dna of Lou Jitsu (aka, Hamato Yoshi/Splinter) and 4 normal turtles, hence how they’re related to him and each other despite being different turtle species. As a side note, the reason splinter is a rat is because he was bit by one before being exposed to the mutagen when he escaped with the turtles. I hope that explains it haha

These are the best set of episodes in the entire series--other than the finale of course!
Maybe it's because of their strong personalities, but I love more slice of life episodes where they're just hanging out, and the world isn't on the line like this, clothes don't make the turtle and snow day.
I wouldn't be able to up with an episode like this from 2012.
@@phlpcockrell Oh please! I'd be hard pressed to find a lot of good "slice of life" episodes! A lot of them were in poor taste, often went against their own premise, and usually did nothing for the main story or characters. It was better when it stuck to the main story.
And I really hope you're not knocking the 2012 series. That has some of the greatest episodes of the entire franchise! "Annihilation Earth", "Tale of the Yokai", "Vengeance is Mine", and "Requiem" were written like Shakespearian tragedies! And there were still over 20 more episodes that ranged good to great!

They should of carried the "Inner Head Raph" joke where its all the same Raph between the four. Because for Mikey when Inner Head Raph helps him out he has his back turned at first and then apologizes "Sorry was just giving real Raph some advice" should of kept that joke through them all.
I loved how they had most of the original voice actors for that hidden city episode with those other turtles! I wish the other raph was there though,! I also wish we had more episodes to explain and explore the hidden city.

That actually makes sense. 2012 Donatello's voice actor is the Voice Director of Rise and does several voices in this show here and there and 2012 Michelangelo's voices Sheldon. The only one they would have brought back specifically for this episode (as to my knowledge) is 2012 Leonardo's.

So let me see if I got the lore right. The mystic city was always under NYC,but then the ooze also made mutants?
The hidden city is inhabited by yokai who are different from mutants and have been living there for a while, the ooze was only created when Baron Draxum used it to make the turtles and splinter into mutants and eventually a bunch of other characters
In a sense, as I remember reading from a Q&A on Twitter, Mutants are considered artificial Yokai using the ooze Draxum created while natural Yokai are the ones like Draxum and Big Mama. I hope that helps as well?
