    To me, there is west SW (eg Aspen and similar) and South SW (Evergreeen etc). The two seem quite disconnected.

      You are correct in terms of they are very different. However they are also very similar in many ways too it’s a large area.

    I'm buying in SW as it was cheaper than NW. NW has been getting into a bidding war recently, and SW has been neglected a bit

      Really depends on the price range and area in the SW… congrats on finding something. Were you able to work with our team to buy this home?

      I worked with another realtor for the detached home we are in the process of finalizing. We will end up in Evergreen and love the area. We toured many neighbourhoods and there are so many beautiful ones in Calgary. We are looking forward to migrating there soon.

    Hi Jared. Another great video! I am moving to Calgary April next year. Had no idea where to find the best place for my kids (3 and 9 years old). We love outdoors, quiet space area and good schools. After following your videos for a couple of months, now I think I found the place! 😉.
    Since I am moving from abroad, I will have to work on my credit score before buy any property. This might take my first year. My idea would be find a place to rent for 12 to 18 months. Unfortunately I don't see many places to rent in Calgary. Especially SW area. Any tips? Thanks and keep up with the great work.

    • @ChamberlainGroup
      @ChamberlainGroup  2 роки тому +1

      Amazing. I would say try to rent somewhere near where you’d like to live and we can all start looking for the perfect place, build credit and then wait for the right house to buy in the area you want vs trying to find perfect place renting. Just an idea… you can always connect with us at info@chamberlaingroup.ca too for deeper questions. We’d love to help you and your family find the perfect place here. -Jared

    Students: Don't move to Calgary. I completed 2 summer student positions with Atco Electric. I was certain that I would retire with this company. After 15 years working for them I got laid off. The Southerns love their horse jumping field in Calgary ( Spruce Meadows ) more than keeping their long time employees. Companies in Calgary are just as sh^$ty s anywhere else. They all talk about attracting young grads but how long does that last. At 30 years old you will probalbly still have student loans and these Alberta companies won't see you in the same light. It would be in your best interest to find a way to work for yourself.
