i LOVE the fact that jessica and chris are giving their children a chance to speak about their experiences - it may be a "logical" thing for some people, but in a lot of family channels its usually the parents that speak about their children. its great to see kids telling their own stories, love to see that!

Christopher and Jessica, you should be really proud of your eldest son. He's so intelligent, inquisitive and has a love of learning. A broken arm is very painful. Jacob is taking it in his stride. You have both done a wonderful job in raising your children. From Bailey down to Teddy, they are loved and encouraged. To Jacob: Well done for all you continue to achieve. I pray that your arm heals well and you are back to your amazing computer work really soon.

Nursing student here and I am EXTREMELY impressed by Jacobs terminology when he's explaining his injury. Such an intelligent guy! Hope you feel better soon, Jake!
Jacob said that he broke his wrist, not fractured it. But isn’t a fracture the same as a break? At least that’s what I learned in a medical terminology class. But of course, I don’t expect him to know that because I thought they were different when I was a kid too.
@@alyssadeakins Parker said that. But yes, fracture and break are the same thing. Lol. X-ray tech here is how I know.
The expression Jacob makes at 6:59 is the EXACT same one that I have seen Chris make 1000 times. The similarity was so striking it made me pause and smile

When he was telling his experience it reminded me so much of when Chris told us about his hives and I was like … The facial expressions he’s making looks just like Chris! Usually I just see Jessica.

I'm so glad he recommended I don't fall off the swing. I was about to go and do that, but decided to stop thanks to Jacob. Hope he feels better.
Nursing student here, as long as you have no open wounds on your arm you should be able to get a water proof cast! I would call around your local orthopedic offices to see if they offer them!
Also the plastic cast cover is pretty good! I had one last year when I had a cast on and it kept me dry, just still try to keep your arm out of the water if you have a normal cast on, bc a lot of reviews for the cast bags say that they sometimes have small leaks. Good luck on your healing and I hope you have fun at the camp thing❤️❤️❤️
My brother said the waterproof casts itch more than the regular casts did so Ide be aware of that 🤷♂️
I had a waterproof cast when I broke my arm as a kid durning the summer and it about saved me. It was so nice to be able to cool down in the water.
But I did hear that some places stopped doing them because they still didn't dry completely? Idk if that's true but it's what I heard. I still loved mine and didn't have any problems. It also made bathing so much easier.
Edit to add that funny enough I also broke my arm on a swing 😂

best of luck with nursing school & welcome to an amazing profession! there are so many things you can do as a nurse, the sky is the limit!! I've been a nurse for 21 years, have spent 18 of those in peds renal/trauma/med surg. I still learn new things every shift, never stop looking for opportunities to learn and grow! being a nurse is not always easy, but it's always worth it ❤️

Jacob, I'm so sorry that you broke your wrist. I'm very glad that the doctor was able to set it without having to go to surgery. Those cast covers work really well. You just can't put the cast under water. When my oldest son was in 5th grade, he jumped out of a swing at school and broke his foot. He had to go to surgery and have an operation to get the bones set. He was sad because it messed up his Halloween plans. Thanks, Jacob, for telling us what happened. I hope it heals really fast! Tell Parker that I enjoyed his song with the choreography! Sending your whole family my love&hugs from GA.💜🤗💪🦴

Jacob. You look so cute. I’m sure you’ll recover nicely. It’s not fun getting hurt. My Son broke his wrist last year. He got a titanium plate inserted. Except you’re 10 and he is 30. So it can happen to anyone at any age. Hang in there. Keep being a smart kid.
