PLEASE get him physio! I broke my ankle when I was 11 and I'm now 25 and still paying for it because I never learnt to walk on it properly after my cast got taken off
Have you seen the 3D printed casts that exist now? They look really cool, but are maybe still in prototype form at the moment. They look like a spider web, but they’re waterproof, they breath and you can get to an itch easily.

Yay for getting the cast removed! I remember when we were kids my cousin used a bread bag to cover her arm cast while in the bathtub. Worked great.

I remember when I got my arm cast off after 6 weeks, it was really weak and hurt more without the cast than without it. but it went away within the week, stay strong Jacob! you're the best ❤️❤️❤️

I remember when I got my casts taken off! I got surgery on both ankles! I thought it would hurt so bad! The only thing that hurt was when I got the braces. (Not for my teeth, my feet.) I just got pink and yellow casts, not a cool Star Wars one! Good luck Jacob!

I’m currently in a cast because I completely tore a ligament in my foot as well as sprained it but in the next 3 weeks I get it off then I’m in a boot and while I’m in a boot we’re going on vacation to Disney World too!(but not till June)

When I was in 1st grade, I broke my wrist. It wasn't fun having a cast and even a few days after I got it cast off because my wrist was adjusting to being without the cast. I applaud Jacob for being so brave throughout the entire process. Your foot may bother you for some time as it gets adjusted to being without the cast but you'll be back to your normal self in no time. And on the plus side, having a cast makes you an instant celebrity because everyone wants to sign it or draw on it. Also, when you get the cast off, you have an excuse for things you don't want to do if your foot hurts.

If it is really bugging him or keeps swelling try asking if Voltaren gel is an option that his doctor could prescribe him. It’s like lotion Advil and worked orders for me on multiple injuries.
Good news is that kids heal faster than adults so hopefully he will be feeling a lot better very soon. Take it easy and done push it Jacob.
