Missoula is a magical winter wonderland… From the inversion, to the frost and the snow covered mountains, it’s truly beautiful in all four seasons.
While shooting this video over the last couple of years, I have enjoyed the memories with loved ones and the art created. From filming on a quiet Christmas evening while cross-country skiing down the freshly blanketed streets of Missoula, to hiking the many trails in Pattee Canyon and the Rattlesnake with my family and my dog, Kula. Downhill skiing on the steep slopes of Snowbowl, to jumping out of the car with my daughter to catch massive snowflakes on our tongues around the University of Montana… I hope you take a moment to enjoy the silence and beauty of winter, it’s worth every goosebump, shiver and snowflake on your tongue.
Let’s put on our boots and take a walk along the Clark Fork River, while watching the sun dance across Mount Sentinel. ✌🏻

From a 5 generation Montana native... yes its beautiful for now until it's over taken by people from out of state who want to change it and not for the better.. ugh Missoula Montana is not the same place where I grew up... Montana has a wild heart beat and I hope that's not stolen.

@@bryanmuster5662 I am someone who is 27 and has moved around a lot and have currently lived in West Virginia for the last 4 years. I am very interested in moving to Montana and am looking for a quiet place that is community driven that I can be apart of through volunteer work and meeting humble, proud, kind people much like there is in WV. My politics are slightly right of center and am concerned when people say that it's being turned into "california". Are these concerns warranted? Will I be a welcome part of the community or are outsiders being looked at as "over running" your state. Your insight as a local is much appreciated. Thanks.

@@patrickclark4456 Hey Patrick. I can tell you this: Most people will be very nice to you. But be warned, some locals are very vocal about out of staters moving here. Also, Missoula is kind of a liberal dump hole. It's also starting to be called "The homeless Mecca of the northwest."

I was born in Missoula, lived in Turah for a bit. Unfortunately had to move to Houston Texas after the 2012 stock market crash... I don’t like it here but I’ll be going back home for college. I’ll die in that state. Thanks for this video, brought back some good memories.

    Hey BP!
    Jason from Maryland here.
I came through town on 10/23, flew to Seattle, then Idaho, bought an old Jeep, drove 12 through Nez-Perce into Missoula, then I90 home.
When I was home I watched this vid over winter wishing I was back up there. I also watch the Missoulapse. Both are great.
After the 2500 mile haul, was wishing I had more time to spend in Missoula. I hope to be back October/November.

I use to live in Missoula. Most of winter is a miserable inversion. One can drive up into the local hill suburbs and the lights of Missoula are completely lost below as I’d blotted out by black inc. My last Fall thru Winter only has a couple of sunny clear days. It is dismal. ….. lousy sound track
