Yes! I first incorporated silk flowers for a wedding last year. I needed peonies for the bride's arch, but they were not in her budget. It turned out beautifully! No one could tell between the real and fake. I now always carry some faux flowers for emergencies:)

Why not use wet foam for roses and insert hydrangeas in the wet foam?

I like the newer Real Touch silicone type flowers. Much more realistic than silk.
