When I was a kid license plates were plain. Now you can find all kinds of things on them. That fold up Stanley rule will look really good cleaned up. Nice Mail call haul! Keep your powder dry.

My daughter picked up an old cosco stool for me from a thrift store that is in really good shape and it sits in my shop! Cool 👍Load of nice gifts from Mr Dale! esp. that large Kraeuter wrench! I think my mom could by something like that at Woolworths in Roslindale Mass where we lived back then 😊. Ah the memories!

Now that just took me back in time. My grandparents had variations of those chairs. I fill empty wall space with signs 😊😊. I have a few home made tools, I do like " ENGINEERED " always wondered why they get molded and what the story was... I use LA Awesome to clean soft handles up has done well on Snapon and Mac.
The wife is super happy that we finally found one. I don't have a lot of space left but..I think I can squeeze in a few plates. Thanks for the cleaning tip, appreciate it Brother.

I have been looking for one of those stools for my shop for a few years, but have never found one cheap enough to bring home. People always want a mint for them, regardless their condition.

GEORGE! My grandma had one of those stool/seats and I have been looking for one for my entire life. There is a look-alike at salvage but they refuse to sell it to me. You are so lucky. I cannot wait to see if you clean it up. The one you acquired is just like Grandma’s - first time I have seen one in over 30 years. I didn’t even know what to search for which has lead to years of disappointment in finding things like it but never the same. EDIT: now that I know to search for a vintage Cosco step stool chair, there they are!

Your 13/16" proto 1" drive socket is for inner lugnuts "dually" on semi's also known as "bud wheels" and the outer lugnut would take a 1-1/2" hex they went away from those on tractor trailers around 1995 - 1997ish
As always great stuff George, that stool will be cool, my grandparents had that one & every kitchen I've ever been in and is in the hundreds of people a generation ahead & older had that stool in the corner ready for whatever needed doing, now I gotta keep my eyes peeled for one.....bums me I don't know what happened to grandma's. I have a small wood stove that would be perfect in my shop. Sadly, I have never found a homeowners insurance that would insure my shop in the event of fire if i install it, so I won't risk it.
I can see the advantage to the ratcheting adapter for a service tool bag. It loots like you are defiantly having a Merry Toolmas!! I hope you holidays are going well and joyful! You got the snow, we got hail while i was working in the conex. It was like being in a tin can thats being shot with bbs. LOL better than being out in it. i think that step stool was a bargain, i would sand blast it and paint it in a 50s candi apple green or purple or something, super handy in the shop and will look great
I was happy with the price , they are pretty rare to find in the wild especially still functional. The wife and I are still deciding on a color but I'm pretty sure the original red is under that paint and rust. The wife has laid claim to it so it'll be going inside the house.

It didn't come with a thermostat control, lol My shed isn't insulated or as nicely finished as yours because It wasn't intended it to be permanent structure. Just temporary place to get away from the house and TV until I have a pole style building built, some day. GEORGE! My grandma had one of those stool/seats and I have been looking for one for my entire life. There is a look-alike at salvage but they refuse to sell it to me. You are so lucky. I cannot wait to see if you clean it up. The one you acquired is just like Grandma’s - first time I have seen one in over 30 years. I didn’t even know what to search for which has lead to years of disappointment in finding things like it but never the same. EDIT: now that I know to search for a vintage Cosco step stool chair, there they are!

Your 13/16" proto 1" drive socket is for inner lugnuts "dually" on semi's also known as "bud wheels" and the outer lugnut would take a 1-1/2" hex they went away from those on tractor trailers around 1995 - 1997ish

As always great stuff George, that stool will be cool, my grandparents had that one & every kitchen I've ever been in and is in the hundreds of people a generation ahead & older had that stool in the corner ready for whatever needed doing, now I gotta keep my eyes peeled for one.....bums me I don't know what happened to grandma's. The ratcheting head adapter does look like Proto. I don't know where my 3/8 Proto is, but it looks like your 1/2.

I have a small wood stove that would be perfect in my shop. Sadly, I have never found a homeowners insurance that would insure my shop in the event of fire if i install it, so I won't risk it.
I can see the advantage to the ratcheting adapter for a service tool bag. It loots like you are defiantly having a Merry Toolmas!! I hope you holidays are going well and joyful! You got the snow, we got hail while i was working in the conex. It was like being in a tin can thats being shot with bbs. LOL better than being out in it. i think that step stool was a bargain, i would sand blast it and paint it in a 50s candi apple green or purple or something, super handy in the shop and will look great
I was happy with the price , they are pretty rare to find in the wild especially still functional. The wife and I are still deciding on a color but I'm pretty sure the original red is under that paint and rust. The wife has laid claim to it so it'll be going inside the house.

Thanks! Yes it's all done and is working fantastic, I actually had to open the door and let a little cool air in the shop yesterday. I'm not used to working in heated conditions..LOL. I just got a pot belly stove we are gonna use it as an outdoor wood burner for the patio. Take care and hope you have a Happy New year.
@Uwannawatch That's awesome. Glad you are enjoying the warmth of your stove. Lol about the letting in some cool air. I have the same problem with my little potbelly wood stove. It didn't come with a thermostat control, lol My shed isn't insulated or as nicely finished as yours because It wasn't intended it to be permanent structure. Just temporary place to get away from the house and TV until I have a pole style building built, some day.
