I have several (5) Bark Rivers and convex grinds are by far the best multi purpose grind. Literally does everything well.

Yes, the only issue I have with a convex on a thicker blade is that when it comes to making ultra thin shavings for tinder material, it tends to eat too much wood. But, the edge does last forever.
