I enjoy watching all the old tv series like Minder , The professional and the saint for all the same reasons, reminiscing about the cars and 70's architecture. Red velvet opolstery and gold curtains in our local pub,,,Happy days 😀

Yes. I have Last of the Summer Wine, Fawlty Towers and The Professionals on a hard drive. Love seeing the vehicles and side roads with hardly any parked cars (and front lawns instead block paving).

Born and grew up in ‘Chippy’ and ancestors for generations before me. 😂. The mop fair is just a funfair now that comes mid-September. Don’t be fooled by the name. As far as the busy roads, well it is a busy working town and not just a quaint village 😉. The prices of property meant I had to leave the town that my family had lived in for generations….and that’s down to all the people arriving from outside the area…mainly Londoners!

I think all villages are quaint… originating from Birmingham 😁 pricing people out of their own town is not good particularly as some properties are purchased as second homes… also probably by Londoners 🤦‍♂️

notice all the yellow markers on side of the roads to stop people parking there.
this is because local politburo has refused to let clarkson expand his car park which results in cars parked on side of nearby roads.

Hello, where did you get your size/length/ width stickers from? Many thanks, Matt

Matt, the company we had them from no longer advertise them. There are other companies that do them including this one (although we haven’t purchased any from them ourselves) www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125015295646

Thanks for your videos. In the unlikely event we can actually buy a new Motorhome, one thing that worries me is the very restrictive weight allowance. How do you keep within 3500kg with a family of four and high MIRO? Is it a problem for you?

Thanks. We have not ever been concerned about it. The van (auto) was 2921kgs so 579kgs left. We discuss weight in this video 👉 ua-cam.com/video/4dCnGbl8vo4/v-deo.html
We don’t carry Cadacs, e-bikes etc. Just ourselves, clothes, the equipment and some water.
We are intending to film our van for a future video, loaded and put on a weigh bridge.

@@LiveforTravel thanks for reply. I thought your van (at least current one is heavier, over 3100kg). It’s the thing that is concerning me the most about purchasing (besides actually finding one!) and think so many are well overweight on their travels. In France there are lots of Government weighbridges along auto routes so no getting away with it quite apart from insurance issues in the event of a claim. I think that would be great idea for a new video to include axle weights. I’d like a scooter bracket on the back and that, apparently, isn’t just a matter of the weight but distance from the axle. Discovering it’s a minefield and wondering if worth the hassle unless you don’t mind effectively kipping in a Transit!

@@weircottage our van is 2921kgs as per the certification given to us from RT. The manual engine was 2888kgs. The current model has indeed gained options that have added to the weight. We may have to do a video on that one. Many problems occur when people exceed the maximum axle weight as it isn’t only the overall weight that matters.
