- Some footage from IRM's 2012 Diesel Days. I arrived rather late, so I didn't catch all of the equipment that was operating that day (Saturday), but here is the equipment that I did see, in rough order of appearance:
-Milwaukee Road F7A #118C
-Green Bay & Western RSD-15 #2407
-Burlington Northern E9As #9908 and BN-3
-Chicago & North Western F7A #411
-CB&Q E5 #9911A 'Silver Pilot' & the 'Nebraska Zephyr'
-Chicago & North Western SD40-2 #6847
-Burlington Northern U30C #5383
-CTA and Illinois Terminal streetcars

Very cool! I love the gong bells on some of the CNW equipment!
Me too!
yup
What a great video you have constructed. It's very enjoyable! Thank you for sharing!
Glad to see a lot of this ended up in museums
This place is heaven on earth?
Yes. Unless we are talking to the plane and automobile enthusiasts.
Fantástic!!!
There is me and my friend waving to you from 118-C at 1:06!!! (Im the one standing further away who gives the first wave)
real nice!!! Would love to see that BN Executive unit on a BNSF Executive train
Somewhat disappointing the appearance of most of the locomotives. I know the work is usually done by volunteers but lost of the locos need some serious sanding and repainting, or at least washing. Love those F unit horns.
Keep posting I'll always stay subscribed
Amazing!!
Cool 😎
I would rather travel on a train than a jet .
same
That Milwaukee Road engine should lead a Canadian Pacific business train on its "home" trackage from Chicago to Savanna. Also, the CNW commuter scoot should be on Union Pacific's Belvidere Sub. Then the GBW engine should be in charge of a freight from Chicago to Green Bay.
Is all of this IRM's equipment? If it is, damn...
All in terms of diesel or all in terms of the trains in general? For either, the answer would be no, they have a lot more equipment.
Wait, who were you there?
