I always felt like the current models had not enough interior lighting, and someone mentioned somewhere that the refresh models now no longer have the ambient light in the door - so seeing how the interior of the refresh looks at night would be really great 🙂 Thanks!

I think the "screen" in the side might just be a gloss black accent (Which is the same color as the driver's display in dark mode) I think they only did it for visual purposes since it would have looked odd if the screen just ended and the rest of the vent was just empty. It's also probably why they don't let you change the screen from dark to light mode (unlike the middle screen)
In the UI you can actually set it to dark mode , light mode or automatic. If you take a really close look it does look like a screen but you may be right. We''ll have to wait and see if Elon sends us an update. Thanks for watching.
Congratulations on your Model X. There is no screen there. A lot of people want that, however it’s been debunked and the manual tells you that it’s the passenger vent. It’s just a accent to match the driver IC display. You notice the same thing is on the driver side towards the mirror. Again congratulations on your Model X and welcome to the family.

Thanks for the walkthrough, been waiting for some good videos on the Model X that shows off some of the details. Contemplating an upgrade from our 2017 Model X 100D when this is available in Norway.. still about a year or so away, so not in a big rush.. it has gotten quite expensive though, and there is some great competition on the way. The new BMW IX has better range, and should be quite good on the interior quality as well.. for almost 25% less than the long range version of this in Norway. This is also the reason I am waiting to put in an order, as I want to test them both to make sure. The tech/infotainment is sure to be a lot better in the Model X 2022/23, than the BMW, but the range, interior noice and quality is important to me as well..
BTW, a small tip, noticed you held the button on the middle row seat in when moving it forward. You can just tap it once to make it go all the way by itself, for easier access to the back. No need to hold it, that is just for control if you just want it to go a little forward instead of the whole way.
That BMW IX is a beautiful SUV. I actually considered canceling my X order and moving forward with BMW. I was getting tired of Tesla pushing my delivery date back every other month.

Agree on mats! I would be going crazy during winter if i had x without. I saw someone on road with y with mudflaps. They are very subtle.

This is a perfect video which covers pretty much everything. The only thing which I would additionally request is a view from the backside with all the 2nd row and 3rd row folded down. Just wanted to see the cargo space and also curious to see how the 2nd row bucket seat will fold down. Hoping to see this in one of your video.
I have a different video on the channel showing the third row seats down but the second row do not fold they remain stationary but do recline.

Im not too much into large sedans. I had a BMW 5 series a few years ago and it was ok. I bought the Y because it reminds of a smaller BMW M3 without having to pump gas at the pumps. If I were in your shoes Id take delivery of the S and not cancel the X order. The way the used car market is now you could sell the S when the X arrives at a profit. So I say get the S. Wait for the X. Sell the S when you get the X delivered. I hope that helps you out in your decision. Thanks for the question and the positive feed back!

As a X owner my self looking to possibly upgrade I have a few questions
how is the highway noise in the cabin compared to your previous X?
Do the doors feel heavier than the model Ys maybe soundproofing?
can you show the rear hatch from the inside any speakers on it??
Can you show the location of any speakers in the rear 3rd row or further back?
If you drive on a two lane road does autopilot take issue with oncoming trucks?
anyway you could share photos of the front suspension? curious if they did anything to solve the dreaded shudder and clicking problem
does the suspension always default to low? or does it allow other settings?
Thanks for watching. This my first X. The highway noise is minimal, the door do feel heavier the the Y's doors. Could also be because they're automatic door and they have the motor the closes and opened the door. Not sure about abut soundproofing but it does active noise cancelling.I haven't tried the auto pilot yet but ill try to make a video showing an example of it while driving. Ill try to take some photos of the suspension. As far as shuddering and clicking I haven't heard anything like that. Suspension wise you may be right about it being on the low setting by default.I does allow other settings but I haven't changed it and tried driving it in a different setting yet. I hope I answered your questions!

Are you sure the glass to the side of the main 17” hub (in front of the passenger) is a screen? I feel like it’s just glass decor that’s in unison with the gauge cluster.
I think you're right. After having the X for over a week and reading blogs it looks like its probably an extension of the UI screen. Im going to address that in today or tomorrows video. Great question and thanks for watching!

Thank you for the informative video of the interior. How comfortable the 2nd and 3rd row seats are for average adult size passengers on a short road trip? Could 2nd and 3rd row compromise and both be comfortable?
Hi Rooz. My daughter usually sits in the second row and she says that the seats are very comfortable. I haven't had anyone sit in the 3rd row yet while driving but just from sitting there while making videos for the channel they also seem comfortable. I think if someone were sitting in the second row and someone else sitting behind them in the third row as long as the person in the second row moves their seat forward a little it would allow for more leg room in the third row. I hope this answers your question.

Hello and thanks for the comment. On our configuration you adjust the angle of the second row but not the third. The seats are slightly angled up.

Hi Barkwall. I haven't tried camp mode or laying on top of the 3rd row seats when I have them flat. I can't fold away the 2nd row. As soon as I'm able I will make a video of how much room is available to lay in the back.

They stop well short of the rails that bring the garage up and down.I think they could a little higher but I think the sensors are very sensitive. I'll add that to a follow to a follow up video. Thanks for the question and for watching!
Thanks for the tour! It's interesting to see, from the inside, how high the falcon wing doors reach when fully open. It's such a minor point, but they're not as high as I'd thought. I noticed you still need to walk around them to get in the car. I guess I'm noticing it because I am 6' 4", so used to banging my head on things!
I’ve just recently learned that the doors open higher than shown in the video. You can press the open door button for a longer time or if you drive over 15 mph for a few blocks. When the car is parked in the garage the sensors become hyper sensitive so that they don’t hit the top of your garage when opening up.

Hmmm, why doesn't the falcon door open high enough that you can step right in or out without having to scoot around the side? Is it one of those settings for the maximum height so that, say you don't hit the ceiling of your garage? Thanks for a good rundown on the updated X.
Yes I think that’s why. It’s either that or it may have sensed something. Not quite sure. I picked my daughter up from school today and it opened fully. She loves the X more than I do. Lol

What are your thoughts regarding the look of the perforated seats vs the one in model Y ?
Why didn’t you get the white seats?
When Im sitting in the X the seat bottom is a little stiff. Maybe the longer I drive it the seat will soften up. The seats in the Y are very comfortable and hold you in. When taking a turn the bolstering is tight. Reminds me of a seat in a Porsche.I decided not to go with the white seats because I love how the black looks. Plus Im a little afraid of getting the white seats dirty. Thanks for the comment and for watching!

I wonder if the door can be open if the car is parked next to another car. How much space is required between cars when the door open like spreading it's wings? There don't seems to be any spare tyre by the look of it/
The door has sensors and it knows if there are any obstructions near by. It works up to 18" inches of space. I have a video on the channel where I park the Model Y right next to it and the door opens up all the way.
It does not not come a spare. I don't think any Tesla's come with a spare.

Wondering how long you waited once you put your order in? Guess Tesla may extend range of model x by 2024? Did you also order a Cybertruck? Be interesting to hear the specifications for the Cybertruck as you appear to have 6 seats in X and 6 seats in Cybertruck. Which do you think will be the most comfortable to sit in Cybertruck or X?
We ordered the X in November of 2020! We waited over a year to have it finally delivered.We didn't order the Cyber truck but it looks like a beast. In a good way. As far as comfort I think it'll be pretty hard for the Cyber truck to compete with the X. The X is extremely quiet and it handles even the worst potholes like a champ. Is that a weird angle to watch netflix or youtube in the rear seats? I have been patiently waiting for a year for my model x. I wonder if I can have someone install 2 video screens on the back of the front seats. Have you seen anyone do that? I just like it for the kids.
My daughter seems fine with it. She watches shows on that screen when I'm driving. I haven't heard or seen anyone install additional screens as of yet. I hope this helps answer your question. Thanks for watching!

No there isn't. I don't think that they thought that one out too well. Separating the front and back sound would've worked or the blue tooth option. Im hoping with a future update that can be resolved. Thanks for the question and watching!

Im not sure if Tesla can add a Bluetooth option at this point but at the minimum maybe allow the first row to listen to their own music while the second row can listen to what they're watching. In the six seat configuration like the one that i have the second row seats do not fold down. The bench seat option does fold down. Great question and thanks for watching!

it really feels like it’s premium now unlike bmw’s ix50 which I test drove yesterday, but the bmw offers value for its price. I never thought I would say that about bmw. looks as though all the german car makers are at least one or two generations behind in the EV game.
They both have their pros and cons. I saw an ix today as well. It was very nice but I think that I'll stick to my Tesla. 😁

Hello right back at you.
The ride in the X is very smooth and quiet. It handles the bumps extremely well due to the suspension. I have a video on the channel where I compare the cabin noise between the X and the Y and the results were very surprising.
The ride height in the X is higher than the in the Y but even tho the X is larger it doesn't seem to be that much higher. Both are great cars you can't go wrong with either choice. I hope that answers your question and thanks for watching!

Yes we ordered the 6 seat configuration. There's only 3 of us and its plenty roomy. Was Tesla going to sell it to you for the same price as the 6 seater? If so you would've saved some moolah (money) :-)

I’ve got an X on order currently, been pushed back 3 times so far to march. When did you place your order? We’re just a little frustrated! Is there anything we can do to speed it up?
I ordered the X in November of 2020 and the delivery date was postponed over and over for over a year till about 3 weeks or so before delivery I checked the Tesla account and saw that I was assigned a VIN. So I understand your frustration. I didn't do anything but wait till I was assigned the VIN. I can only suggest that you keep checking your Tesla account for a VIN. Sorry I can't do anything for you to speed the delivery date up but I can assure you that it'll be worth the wait. Thanks for watching and good luck!

Its definitely not as big as other SUV's. There's only 3 of us so it works for us.
I thought the model X had 7 seats? Looks like there's missing one in the middle of the middle row
You can get it in a 5, 6 and 7 seat configuration. The 6 seater with the "captain seats" is the most expensive, as they can move independently of each other so that passengers can adjust the way they prefer to sit. There are both pros and cons to choosing a 6 seater though.. you get more space for rear passengers, and cargo on the floor in between them. However, the middle row cannot be folded completely flat, as with the 7 or 5 seater combinations, meaning you will loose some flexibility when carrying things you want to lay down on a large flat surface for example.
With the Model X you can order it with the five seat, six seat or seven seat configuration. For the six seat configuration there is an up charge but I think the real sale value is higher than the five seat.I hope this answered your question and thanks for watching!
Did your insurance cost go higher for the Model X than your last gas car? If so, how much percentage more than the gas car?
Thats a great question and honestly Im not sure. I called my agent and told him to add the X to the coverage and I haven't looked to see what Im paying yet. I'll look into that and post it.
Now how the doors work in a parking lot?
They work great. It took me a little while to finally figure out how they function properly but when I did they're awesome. I also love how all I have to do is put my foot on the brake and the shuts automatically. I wish all doors on any car had this function.

Not really. You can press and hold the open button on the falcon wing doors to raise them a little higher. Its an over ride. The doors sense the track for the garage door and thats why they stop. Thanks for watching!

Yes. You can set up the distance between your car and the car in front of you. I think you can go from 1 car length to 5 if I remember correctly.

@@CC-te4jz Oh you mean adjust the yoke forward or backwards? Yes. You us eat scroll wheels to go up and down and you press right or left to go in or out. Does that make sense?
@@teslaownersperspective1968 I’m not talking about the yoke position adjustment. I’m talking about adjusting the distance between your car and the one in front of you when the autopilot is engaged.

Of the model s has self closing doors i would know what to get so cool taping the break door closes and it shifts to D or R

@@slik I don't think its the only deciding factor. There are many cool features. The UI, the full glass windshield, falcon wing doors...Too many to choose. I like the Q8 as well. I had a Q7 but the Q8 looks way sportier!
@@teslaownersperspective1968 I meant I will still have the Q8 and the jeep so the 3rd car is either the model S or the X and what sucks is the S plade is more expensive then the X but the long range version is not the X is more expensive which smart from them to do cuz if I'm buying the S it would be the plaid but if the X it would be the long range one hahahah still didn't jump the gun

I just got mine after almost 10 months wait. I gotta say I’m a little disappointed to see some of the build quality issues. The seat has winkle, the seat belt buckle isn’t in the hole perfectly, the trunk cover is just like a crawl space cover
Sorry to hear that. I too had a few issues but they were taken care of with Tesla mobile service or actually leaving it for repair at Tesla repair center. I also hate the trunk cover. Its like foam covered in material. 👎🏼

In the second row they do not. Only recline a little and go back and forth. The third row seats do fold away.
For model x how much is it to fill up at supercharger station
I have over 1800 miles of free charging in my Tesla account. I did fill the Y once and I think it was somewhere around $8-$9. Maybe mess.

Does your Tesla have camping mode
The Model Y has camping mode and I know its in the UI of the X. I tried using it once and it didn't seem to do everything that camp mode is supposed to do. Im going to add that a video Ive been planning doing. Thanks for the question and for watching!

Yoke is great. If you drive one handed and don’t move your hand around the circumference as you turn you are fine.
