For example, I think Shaun and Mindy would say that marriage is hard - or that it can be in any case - whereas Brooklyn said it’s not that marriage is hard but that life is hard and that being married doesn’t change that. I think marriage is hard, whichever way you try to hack it. But that doesn’t mean it’s always hard, just that it can be, whereas Brooklyn has the opinion that it’s not so difficult so far.
Totally agree to the whole “marriage is hard” statement. I’ve been with my person for 11 years now. We’ve been married almost 2 years. Nothing has ever been hard with us. We communicate and love each other and through all these years, nothing has ever felt difficult. I think when you find the right fit, it shouldn’t feel hard.

They both really seem to love and respect each other to the point that you can see that it doesn’t matter who answers the questions. They are both on the same page and so connected.
I know it feels so good to be with a guy that will walk around the world to make you happy. A guy that you can be completely yourself with, that doesn't judge you and only gives you love. However, I am just not sure it is a good idea to be with a guy because you know you won't get hurt. Of course in the end you want a guy that will marry you and not hurt you, but this can take time in a relationship, and yes, in the process you can get hurt, which is awful. Being with a guy because he loves you so much is a good idea but it can't be the only reason, in my humble opinion. I would want to love the guy just as much as he loves me and be madly in love with him. And yes, I am 29 years old and single (which is pretty common in the Netherlands, so it's probably comparable to 25 in the US or so), but I am still waiting and I know he will come. It might not be my place to say this, but I really want the very best for you and I want you to be the most happy and be madly in love. But of course your opinion is the one that matters, and not one of an anonymous long time fan.

When people say marriage is hard they do mean those decision making times I don’t think anyone means it’s hard to just be with one person lol also for people who’ve never been in serious relationships before they met “the one” or aren’t as financially stable or privileged, yes it can be a little tough in the beginning to adjust. You know you have the right one if you both choose commitment, communication and affection. Some couples do have some conflicts in the beginning but conflict just means something you both need to heal within yourself!

I've watched Brooklyn and Bailey long enough to know they did not mean it this way but I want the girls to know who are planning on changing their name to your husbands (or spouse in general) that it does not mean they own you or you don't play equal parts in the marriage. I love that women are not wanting to change their names to keep it living on but I know for me personally changing my name was important. I had my dads name and I was ready to get rid of it because he was not a part of my life. Changing my name made me feel like I was finally getting rid of that part of my life. Never once though have I felt unequal to my husband due to me having his name though. Plus I was my mother in laws first daughter in law (she has all boys) and she calls me her first daughter 😍😍

Whatever floats your boat but changing your name after getting married isn’t “difficult.” Pretty sure all I had to do was print out a document, take it to the courthouse, pay a fee, then get the marriage license signed. Took all of one day? Just cause you change your name doesn’t mean you “belong” or “own” each other, it’s just another way of being married and sharing that connection & love with each other. Like I said, whatever floats your boat.. just different perspectives here.
Literally had to go to SS office with my documents (birth certificate, SS card, license) and go to DMV to change license...then if you have a passport, credit card, debit card, ect. Not very hard to change. Just need a day or 2 set aside to do all of that or even when you are getting married do that right after the wedding/honeymoon. I have a feeling she has too much stuff to legally change and just doesn't want to bother for now...which is totally fine. Lol
Traditionally changing your name came from when the father gives you to your husband! In the past women were seen as property, hence why they were not allowed to have their own name. I’m sure there are easy processes to go through to get everything switched over, but as someone with businesses and licenses with my last name- I don’t feel the need to change mine! Especially since my husband doesn’t care and neither do I!

If it’s about the history I think it would be better to clarify that you want to defy the history of it, because currently people don’t view it that way anymore.

Not to be mean or anything but like i feel like there are a lot of times where Dakota tries to talk but Brooklyn talks instead and doesn't let him talk, like kinda of interrupts him, never let his has a word , so I kinda feel bad for him, but i don't know if that's case, so hope im wrong, but you know i love your relationship
When people say marriage is hard they do mean those decision making times I don’t think anyone means it’s hard to just be with one person lol also for people who’ve never been in serious relationships before they met “the one” or aren’t as financially stable or privileged, yes it can be a little tough in the beginning to adjust. You know you have the right one if you both choose commitment, communication and affection. Some couples do have some conflicts in the beginning but conflict just means something you both need to heal within yourself!

I've watched Brooklyn and Bailey long enough to know they did not mean it this way but I want the girls to know who are planning on changing their name to your husbands (or spouse in general) that it does not mean they own you or you don't play equal parts in the marriage. I love that women are not wanting to change their names to keep it living on but I know for me personally changing my name was important. I had my dads name and I was ready to get rid of it because he was not a part of my life. Changing my name made me feel like I was finally getting rid of that part of my life. Never once though have I felt unequal to my husband due to me having his name though. Plus I was my mother in laws first daughter in law (she has all boys) and she calls me her first daughter 😍😍

I can't believe that it has been 6 months because Brooklyn I bet being married changed your life and my family has been in Florida and it changed our lives because my family is getting bigger and being an Aunt changed my life. We moved from Virginia to Florida 6 months ago and a lot has happened!!!!!!! Life has gone by so fast!!!!!

I’m happy for you guys on being married for 6 months
Whatever floats your boat but changing your name after getting married isn’t “difficult.” Pretty sure all I had to do was print out a document, take it to the courthouse, pay a fee, then get the marriage license signed. Took all of one day? Just cause you change your name doesn’t mean you “belong” or “own” each other, it’s just another way of being married and sharing that connection & love with each other. Like I said, whatever floats your boat.. just different perspectives here.
Literally had to go to SS office with my documents (birth certificate, SS card, license) and go to DMV to change license...then if you have a passport, credit card, debit card, ect. Not very hard to change. Just need a day or 2 set aside to do all of that or even when you are getting married do that right after the wedding/honeymoon. I have a feeling she has too much stuff to legally change and just doesn't want to bother for now...which is totally fine. Lol

Traditionally changing your name came from when the father gives you to your husband! In the past women were seen as property, hence why they were not allowed to have their own name. I’m sure there are easy processes to go through to get everything switched over, but as someone with businesses and licenses with my last name- I don’t feel the need to change mine! Especially since my husband doesn’t care and neither do I!
@@BrooklynAndBailey I think saying “I’m not changing my name because I don’t belong to my husband” kind of insinuates that women who change their last names are their husband’s property. If it’s about the history I think it would be better to clarify that you want to defy the history of it, because currently people don’t view it that way anymore.

My thoughts are taking on someone's last name is just another way of you two becoming one. You left your parents to become one with Dakota meaning you take one his last name. I think is so ridiculous to have to prove that your not his property 🙄 after you just got done telling us how much you love eachother. just like I thought it was ridiculous not to have your dad walk you down the aisle because you had to make sure everyone knew he didn't own you too. Just seems like your really really immature
