In audio, they refer to the first overtone as an even harmonic as it’s one or more octaves above the fundamental.
So even harmonics sound musical as they have a 2:1 relationship of but odd harmonics are more complex in their ratios to the fundamental and sound more complex.
So carrying that over to radio, you would call the first overtone the second order harmonic as it’s twice the fundamental, third order harmonic being 3x the fundamental
So, to clarify, and minimise a fight on 80m nets, add the word order following the multiple that you are talking about

Or on 80m discuss the pain in your prostate instead

People forget that the antenna has resonance and Q, and it forms an integral part of the transmitting system. So does a high Q antenna improve the emitted spectral purity? It must! And, how could you measure this?

I think this is why we have to have clean signal up the spout?? :) I'm presently building a QCX plus for 160m as I have never done top band....the Hermes seems to have persistent ADC overload on that band so hopefully Hans Somers will come to the rescue?? hi hi What have you got on the bench Paul atm 73 de vk2aoe@@Paul_VK3HN

@@TheArtofEngineering QCX for 160? There's not much CW down there! 80 would at least give you a fighting chance of a QSO.
Meanwhile I've moved QTH and have had a shack pack up. So just the odd portable outing for me at the moment.
