If these are hard lath I understand if you don't consistently upload these, but from a consumer point of view I have to say this is my favorite type of ftd content you've done in quite some time.
I understand too, but I don't care enough. I care about the content, not the creator. Then again, I have ASD so my opinions can come across as offensive, as this one will likely be perceived. This is never my inention, sorry if I offended you.
At this point, a full land adventure mode playthrough is absolutely needed! A water skimmer in the last playthrough, a flyer in the current, hopefully, a land craft in the next!
I'm convinced this is actually the best format for these adventure playthroughs. Normally I fear when the video is going to end but now I don't have to do that because the video isn't going to stop until the end of the campaign is reached :D
@@ez_theta_z9317 Compared to a lot of other content creators, Lathrix is quite consistent with finishing his playthroughs. He might do a trial episode or two and then never turn that into a full series but it was never guaranteed to be a series in the first place, and is listed as a trial series.
As an attention deprived youth, i'd like to comment primarily on the cute bird sitting on a branch looking into my room, and secondly on how I appreciate these longer videos. Ironically i find them a lot easier to watch than in series format even if the algorithm is allergic to them.
I like how you started zooming in / viewing the enemies more before they get destroyed, it feels so much more satisfying than watching a distant boom and the enemy's gone. Zooming in and precision targeting the laser is really cool too, I never thought about using lasers like that.
One thing I kind of dislike about adventure mode is how every combat takes place at extreme ranges, way past your rendering distance. Has the campaign mode been fixed yet ? Or are the enemies still coming at you one at a time instead of having actual fleet battles like way before ?
The gray talons fleet takes a bit from a ton of sci-fi stuff one of their flagship reminds me of the prydwin they got a ton of 40k looking ships and a couple halo too
Yup. One with a strong love of Khorne, and missiles. SO MANY MISSILES. Also making ships with an assload of empty space, and that particular 'ribbed' look so many of his have. Oh, and all rotors must be RING-ed.
You ever thought about retrofitting some of your old designs to see how well they could work with gradually building them up in the adventure mode? Malal's Will would be very interesting to see go through a solo adventure
Oh my god, I would love to see the Khronechip getting this treatment. It would be glorious, and as always. Blood for the Blood God. Skulls for the Skull Throne.
I would love to see the return of the bunker. Just a gargantuan behemoth of the seas that shrugs of anything coming its way. Could have some spinal mount doom crams too.
These single video adventure mode videos are great! I'd love to see you try some kind of melee ship, whether it goes far or not is less a big deal in a "movie" format. There have been a few interesting particle blade ships in the last couple playthroughs. From the depths is a series I wish to see continue.
I love how the craft went from barely flying wood, to fairly speedy sci-fi gyrocoptor, to heavily armed flaying apartment building. It was a very fun episode. I'd love to see Lath do a mad maxish land campain convoy run.
The land campaign is currently undergoing a major redesign, so you might want to hold of on that one for a while. It does mean that there will be a lot of very up-to-date and pretty design in about half a year maybe? I have no idea when the devs plan to have the overhaul finished.
Have a look at Grey Talon's airships... other than the Onyx watch airships or some of the DWG's I think that's what you'll find close to those. There's always custom campaigns though.
Lath man. I don’t ever really comment, but please keep making vids of this game. It’s such a niche thing that I love watching, and I love that you’ve found it. Really really enjoy these ❤️
This is literally never a game I would play myself (seems way too complicated for me) but it’s very enjoyable to watch someone that knows what they’re doing ngl.
It gets simpler the more you play. The reason you should avoid playing FTD isnt the learning wall(the official discord is GREAT for help), its the sheer amount of time it takes to build craft. FTD videos gloss over the amount of time it takes. Each vessel takes MULTIPLE DAYS of work to build and make look good(80% of time is making it look good.)
I have about 180 hours in it, and I still know basically nothing = ) My guns deal close to no damage, I'm still trying to make my ships not sink after I add the not working guns, my flyers don't fly, A.I. is a no-no for me as I have no idea what I am doing, and I don't have nearly enough time to just sit and play and actually learn how to do things. Even so, not only is it amazing to watch such videos, I don't regret in the slightest bit the fact that I bought this game. Those 180 hours were some of the best 180 hours I have had, and I did nothing besides trying to learn in the build world. No regrets. None. At all.
I really like the charm of the original game music. As someone who's spent a few hours building (pretty terrible) crafts, and having to listen to it for those hours, it's grown on me.
Lath, I would LOVE to see you do a "One hit wonder" run... Basically, you try to make it through by only using huge weapons and ending a fight in as few shots as possible. Maximum damage, all the time. You're an incredible builder and I know you'd be up to the task! Love your videos; keep it up!
Would still love to see another melee run maybe with the new particle blade... an just below the waterline hidden dagger slycing through the enemies bottom.
Would love to see series where you do different play styles from start to finish. Submarines, mele, space, the options are endless for cool playthroughs!
I kinda wanna see a campaign where you create a craft with just a single weapon. You’d need to make it well rounded in order to be applied to each situation, as well as pump all your resources into it
All of them have some way to be dealt with besides particle cannons. Which AI can't defend against, but a player could play Distance to make it less effective. At that point it just becomes a matter of who lasts longer since your damage output is lower than the cost you spent, but at least it gets through. Close second would be the APS as a general purpose.
Ingame music is just fine for me. Hope one of the future builds involves some serious CRAM cannons, last build had nice, rapid Dakka but nothing's better than deleting a small ship in a single shot.
Love to see another FtD video! These videos definitely scratch an itch. This game can be so satisfying when there’s one playing who actually knows what he’s doing, and you’re honestly currently the only one on UA-cam who can fill that role while also being entertaining and a likeable character. Keep em coming!
30 Minutes in now and if it was more armored and a bit more green, the craft would look like one of Nurgles Bloatdrones. Absolutely in love with the craft thus far
I just want to say “thank you” for introducing me to FTD all those years ago. You were just somewhere in my recommended and I checked it out because “why not?” FTD has quickly become one of my favorite games, and your channel is among my favorite too.
I'd love to see more of that land campaign. Your content is actually really entertaining and very high quality though so.... I belive i'll enjoy anything you do lol
I would really love to see you do a swarm carrier adventure mode playthrough. maybe like 6 hangers and you rely on specialized drones for all your damage output. Rocket, laser, advanced, particle, bomber, and healer
Man, these longer FTD videos are wonderful. It's a ton of fun just watching the evolution of the vehicles and how the changes change their combat performance.
Thank you Lathrix for making all of this beautiful content, after I found your Neter campaign I have been a consistent viewer for 6 years. Over the time I have been watching your content I have witnessed your channel grow and thrive, showing our community amazing games we might have never found or even considered playing. I know I'm not the only one you've inspired to try harder/more technical games. Your channel was a big part of my childhood and my struggles during Covid and moving + switching schools during the middle of it. Your channel got me out of really hard times and made me want to take out my stress and social anxiety with creativity (which I usually lacked). When I got my first computer I did just that, I had to buy FTD! You and other creators on UA-cam basically raised a generation if you know it or not, I'm very glad I found your channel and that many others did too. Also these Adventure videos are top tier! Just make sure you don't forget to sleep and take care of yourself that seems to be a reoccurring theme when you're really enjoying a playthrough!
I love how you returned with more FtD, the last video you made caused me to rewatch a ton of the previous videos and series you made of the game. Thank you so much for bringing joy to my youth Lathrix. I started watching you at around Terratech season 3 or 4 and have been with you ever since.
id like to see you try and build a fighter jet that's very fast and maneuverable but a glass cannon which has to mostly evade projectiles at some point. A flying battleship which mostly uses cannons might also be quite cool

I'm good with the in-game music, Love teh FtD video's, as always ❤ I was thinking for a moment nothing was going to beat your craft after you killed that 1.4m scarlet dawn one. Not sure about the landcampaign, you'd have to have some serious honourrules given the much smaller craft (if that's still the case). Will love the content anywayz ;)

Love these long videos. I still wonder why you don't stream these before you cut them down? It would be very interesting to chat to your audience and vice versa. Either way. Love these longer videos. Keep it up
I’m glad to see you are still making ftd videos I remember watching your vids back when you were doing season 2 way back when and and just recently decided to pick up the game a few weeks ago and went to see if you were still making videos and was pleasantly surprised to see ftd is still a part of the channel. you are much more memorable then you’d think.
I would like to see you try and create a single small fighter and try to get it to 100. Try and keep it compact and as small as you can get away with. Decent challenge while also testing your skills to cram everything in it while making it fashionable and small.
Okay, the Jealousy with the internal spinning PAC array is a really cool design. I have dabbled in a similar idea with a flying saucer style design before, but the internal spinning disc is genius.
Fantastic entertainment and a fitting end as always! I appreciate you taking a look at the designs more often as new ones appear and can't wait for the next one! You could try with your own music just to see how it works out, but the in game soundtrack works well enough. Keep up the great content! Edit: Very fitting revenge insta-killing the Exadyne with the PAC XD
I’m so glad you started making more for the depths content, there is a huge lack of quality from the depths content out there, I had to peice this video into 3 stints but still loved every second of it
I own FTD but could never really get into it properly, but I still watch every single FTD video Lathrix puts out, just such a dream to watch this game! I'd love to see an underwater base, like one that sits on the seafloor, idk how this would work or how you'd attract enemies but I think it'll be cool
So I watched the 1st leg of this series first, and liked it so much that at 130am I started the 2nd one. Here I am, just after 3am, and this one was a total joy to watch as well. I would love to see more of this and your Terratech stuff. Huge fan of both. Thanks for taking the time to put this stuff together!
Wonderful. Lots of close ups of opponets, and a little more detail on your design process which is always of interest! I enjoyed this even more than last time!
Honestly here is an interesting idea for you Lathland: The Neter Campaign, except you have to only work with a size limit on all ships (so you only have a bunch of little ships) and each one has to have a specific role. I.E. one that is missiles, one that is all cannons, one that is all flak, one that is just a resource transport, one that is a resource gatherer, etc. It would make for an interesting campaign in that you need to have the right chemistry within the fleets to fight certain enemies. Obviously, at a certain point, the size of the ships will need to increase because otherwise, they will just get one-shot, but it would be interesting to see a bunch of little ships that do different things instead of one big ship that does everything.
I think that seeing the land campaign would be cool! Either that or a submarine run! And of course. From the depths is a series i wish to see continued in the future.
Giving this a proper watch after letting it be background noise to my workday (thank you for having long videos for said long days), I got a good chuckle out of the intro. I hope these sorts of videos get enough support to be viable. Sometimes, there's just no substitute for a full 100 minutes of... shall we say, realistic enthusiasm for the material at hand.
From the depths IS a series we wish to continue in the future. More terratech too.
I don't think he'd do any more terratech as he's basically done everything possible
Terratech full play through would be fun

Okay, the Jealousy with the internal spinning PAC array is a really cool design. I have dabbled in a similar idea with a flying saucer style design before, but the internal spinning disc is genius.
More! I'm loving these. I'm a security guard with 8hrs a night to do nothing but watch UA-cam and I love your content especially from the depths!
It’s a good day when lathrix uploads ftd
Would be nice to see the campaign mode again at some point.
I’m so glad you started making more for the depths content, there is a huge lack of quality from the depths content out there, I had to peice this video into 3 stints but still loved every second of it
Engagement for the engagement throne! Love how the craft developed, it is super cool-looking. I'm always impressed by the designs that you put out.
Just found your videos, just the maniac I like to watch!
I love this style of video, thanks for making another one
Wonderful. Lots of close ups of opponets, and a little more detail on your design process which is always of interest! I enjoyed this even more than last time!
I always adore watching the campaign series because of your creation of fleets... they're always super fun and interesting designs
FTD full playthroughs are probably my new favorite thing
