The metal plate hanging up actually went around the stove pipe on the wall and was called a flue plate. It sealed the hole that the stovepipe went thru so outside air couldn't come inside. Loved this house. The sink in the bathroom is amazing. Wow, I definitely heard a man and woman having a conversation in the kitchen during the night. Amazing. Nice video Jon!👍

Oh Wow Jon, you & Josh were so privileged to welcomed into their home! There's definitely a lot of activity going on in their home. It's almost like they felt comfortable enough while you two were there to continue talking btwn themselves plus doing things that they wanted to do whether you're hear them or not! I must say that they were enjoying playing with you guys!! Thanks 😊 😊 for sharing ❤ & bringing us along during your visit to this awesome 👌 👏 😀 place!!!! Would love to know more about the history of the family and/ or the home! Do you think that you 🤔 might consider going back again since there's been so much activity?? By the way when you woke up & heard the talking we could too! When you said the time I thought wow it's just like they're starting the day at the table like if they were having coffee or breakfast planning out their day. It was so clear & crisp!

That was an excellent investigation! The voices, the foot steps, the balloon moving then popping. Then the man and woman talking took the cake. It was so clear that you may be able to get it on some audio software and actually hear what they were saying. That would be awesome! I look forward to many more videos. It's awesome that the sub count keeps climbing. I have been a subscriber for a long time. You have come a long way. Keep up the great work!

I agree with you Jon,I believe the most of it is residual energy, however the man and woman talking when you got up and disturbed them with the noise and the light going down the stairs they immediately stopped talking so they knew you were there,I can't help but wonder what you would of caught on audio if you would have just laid still and recorded..

Wow! Neat place to visit, even cooler to sleep overnight. Some of it reminded me a little of both houses belonging to my maternal and paternal grandparents. Until they were quite old, they had outhouses rather than indoor bathrooms. My widowed grandmother used an enamel wash basin for dishes and personal hygiene. She had buckets of water taken from an outdoor hand pump. Made her own white bread and paraffin-sealed jars of red tomato jam over a wood-fired stove. There was a flue cover. When I was a preteen, my family lived in a house that did not have indoor plumbing. There was an outdoor hand pump for water. You usually needed at least three pails of water for the day. Baths were taken in a large steel washtub. There was an outhouse and we used dishpans to wash dishes and slop buckets for the used dishwater. Later my dad built a home with indoor plumbing and electricity but those few years spent in the no-frills home were ones I'll never forget.

Oh Wow Jon! What a treat that was🤗 Totally "Little House on The Prairie" feel. It really felt loving and playful there. I'm so glad you & Josh stayed the night in that old farmhouse💖 My thoughts on the balloon popping is it was dad saying "ENOUGH now! It's time to go to bed" and that's why you didn't hear or see anymore of the kids sounds of play & voice anymore thru the evening, Only the parents voices very early in the morning like tradition, discussing the day ahead💯 Thanks Jon & Josh for a great night🤩

17:05 the shower curtain is closed when before that it was open. Also in middle of the curtain you can see an imprint of a small kid or something standing there. 17:35 snap some photos you will see on the steps a white outline of a spirit sitting on the steps maybe a kid. It’s right before you hear the child’s voice. John walked right through it.

That cabin was beautiful. But it was not abandoned. That was either yours someone you knew. Or a fall cabin for someone. There was no dust, no cobweb's, that place was clean. Which means you broke into somebody's cabin. You can tell how well kept it was. Everything in it was clean. Even the rest room had a bag in the waste basket. Lights still working water working. Just saying be careful. That cabin was still being used. But I will say it was very nice. Decorative with antiques. Someone definitely still using that place. So be careful guy's. Keep sharing. But even you all could tell that that place wasn't abandoned. Loved seeing it though. Just hope the owners didn't see it and sue you all for trespassing.

Darling the original 'Little House on the Prairie' was a one room log cabin. So rather different to this place. Do read the book if you haven't. In fact I recommend reading the entire series starting with Little House in the Big Woods. Absolutely fascinating details including how they made their hats, how they smoked food, how they made hinges, how they built without nails, how Ma dealt with a bear. Way way better than the sentimental slop of the T.V. series.

I wonder why spirits aren't more open about letting themselves be known... Like at the end of the video when there was clearly what sounded like a woman or 2 talking downstairs... And then when you got out of bed and started walking over, there were still people talking... But as soon as you got to the top of the stairs, the talking completely stopped. Why don't the spirits, like, invite you down to talk too? Why spirits gotta be so anti-social with humans? Is there a rule or something in the afterlife that prohibits you from communicating with the living? Does it take too much energy to interact with the living? Do spirits just come to the realization that the living sucks and they just don't wanna conversate? What is it?

    • @karenv5103

This was insane. I think you scared them when they heard the noise and saw the light. Good catch.

I'm just getting to watch, very excited,I know it's been answered and their right it was used to cover the hole where the pipes goes , most people cleaned their pipes or replaced them, sometimes they moved the stove to make more space in the warm seasons, so that plate made it look more attractive, and it kept the sute from blowing into the house.

Wow!Thank you for sharing this!! I could hear the little girls voice several times. Then at the end when you wake up and say you can hear voices, you clearly can hear what sounds like a man and a woman having a conversation. It's quite audible on the video. Not enough to tell what they are saying, but clearly a man and a woman having a conversation.

It's a cover to put over the chimney hole when you take the wood stove out.
