I'm new to TSons coming from Custodes and this was incredibly helpful, you ask really great questions Tom and I have a full page of notes from this which will make me a much better player in coming games.
Even knowing the priority list of rituals from Liam is great, I thought turning off saves was #1 priority but the explanation helped a lot as dev wounds is doing a lot of work anyway.
I've subscribed and can't wait to see more!
Thanks so much for your comment, and also for subscribing!!! Means the world to us. I'm really glad you enjoyed it and I'm relieved the line of questioning worked- I felt with Tsons given the complexity cutting through to the mechanics that a top player like Liam leans on was key here, as once you start seeing it as he sees it it suddenly doesn't seem quite as complex as it did before. Really glad you found it useful, many more videos to come ;) Tom.
Hey! oving from Custodes to Tsons too. How do you find changing the army? I'm afraid that for me it'd be too small gameplay style - I mean close range, etc. In the shorter way - are you having fun? :D
great video,
very informative, now we just need to work out where he dropped the ten points, after the new points update 🙂, real first world problems there
This was really informative. Thank you! It would be great to add his list to the description.
Thanks for your support :) I will get the list for you. Tom.
The link is now in the description :D
@@tomlowman1541 thank you :)
Master of Le Rooosh!
Fantastic episode, Liam is a legend!
hahaha, he is the absolute best. Knew I'd get an unusual take on it and he delivered :D
I loved this video so much. It’s helped me a ton
This is what we love to hear. Liam is a master and I felt like he conveyed the key elements so well here!! Tom.
Lovely chat; made a few new lists to try out with some good info from this. My hope for codex time is Cabal points be linked to detachment and have less character bring them if any, so they don't need to fully tax the characters and allow more build freedom. They could then also dial in points where they want it, maybe not give a detachment with 19, but post codex we probably will lose double casting anyway and once double bolt is off the table it also won't be as necessary to hit 19.
I'm really glad you enjoyed it! Totally agree they need to slightly rethink how Cabal interacts with the army design and make more builds plausible in the book - fingers crossed! Tom.
Is there anywhere to watch a game with him playing?
He was on stream Wargames live at alpine, cant remember if it was eldar or ts tho
@@ryanjervis8378 I think he was playing Eldar for that - but he did play the final into Tsons!!
What was the stratagem he said he doesn’t tend to use a lot? @17:50
I think he was talking about warp sight
yep that's right - the 2 CP Indirect strat. I think Liam is typically playing on the front foot, so he gets the lines of sight he needs and saves the CP for the cheaper damage buffing ones.
Thank you! I was hearing “no lust” and not “no LoS”. Makes sense!
@@6PlusPlusGaming I'm trying to understand how he's popping off turn 1 with double doombolt? Is he driving a rhino up, disembarking, double doombolt and then hop back in? But then the rhino is a sitting dick perhaps? Or doesn't he just set this up on turn 2 and hope not to lose 1 of his 19 cabal points? I understand the combo just not who's using it and how he's getting the range without the MVB?
@@thomasford5312 I Thomas! I don't have the answers here for you I'm afraid - it's worth testing it and finding out the different uses. It's good to have in the locker as a defensive option if someone runs at you as much as anything else!
Unmbral crystal on a blob os tzaangors won me my very first game of warhammer
yasssss
I I just recently started playing thousand sons and I feel so vindicated by him and his opinions and what he’s suggested to do
Not to knock Liam’s obvious and immense faction mastery… but I can’t help but wonder that his choices to often lose Magnus early are due in part to his matchups. I get the feeling that he’s usually playing as a “sword” in most team games and doesn’t play as many singles games with TSons. I wonder that if he brought the 15th legion to more singles events and was paired into less than optimal matchups he might adapt by playing a more conservative game than is best into his desired matchups in Teams.
I think absolutely this! And he would be first to say so himself. He is pushing for high score differentials in this build - Tsons can play control in singles much more comfortably. T.
