There is an interesting episode about Rafi sahib's every smiling face. Once the Gramaphone Company of India ( His Master's Voice, fame ) wanted to introduce into the market a new cassette, comprising of some of Rafi sahib 's hit sentimental sad songs. At the end of compilation, they wanted a gloomy looking photo of Rafi sahib for it's outer cover, to an effective appeal , little knowing that Mohamed Rafi sahib had been gifted with a smiling face all the time by God himself. After several attempts they gave up the idea, as despite their best efforts they could not get a sad looking photo of Rafi sahib. Ultimately they had to release the cassette with a smiling faced Rafi sahib. That is the virtue he had had .
Sorry, i told about his devine face, I regret for spelling mistake. It is also wonderful to note that India has thousands legendary singers, but Mr Rafi sahab is much more recognized by common people, may be only for his pious mentality and unique voice.
