why on this monitor does the battery malfunction appear
When the battery is aged, either after 3 years from manufacturing date or after 500 charge/discharge cycles, it is recommended to replace the battery.
Too old battery. The battery need to be changed.

If the green power light is off when the power cord is connected, the power supply is probably defective and need replace.
