Excellent video, some interesting books that I wouldn't have ordinarily have heard about. A nice cross-section too, I've added 3 to my TBR. Thank you 😊
Thanks for these recommendations. There are so many good historical fiction books. I'll pick just two. The Case of Cem, by Vera Mutafchieva. When the Ottoman Sultan dies, his younger son makes a play for the title and fails, flees to Europe and becomes a pawn of the European powers. It's based on actual events. Also, I've just recently read The Madwoman's Ball, by Victoria Maas, and I've been recommending it everywhere. It mostly takes place in an asylum for women in late 19 century Paris. It's been made into a pretty good movie too.
Love The Eighth Life!! I've picked up used copies of the luminaries, books of jacob, and a suitable boy just this year, so this is a great omen! haha I've read two alternative fictions and suspect I don't like the genre but for some reason, I feel like I would like Flight to Canada--sounds so interesting! ujmAQGT-0-po
