    What is your stand on Double Cleansing? And if you do cleanse twice, how do you do it?

    I tend to use a micellar water to remove my makeup, then a gel to oil cleanser after that. Exfoliating toners are reserved for a couple of times a week. This tends to work well for me. Very interesting video as I think people can all too often assume that double cleansing is always best, which might not necessarily be the case. x

      I agree. It is so important to take the recommendations with a grain of salt and look at your own skin and its needs.

    I tried double cleansing recently to tackle fillaments on the nose- problem is, I didn’t see this video first🤦🏻‍♀️ I wear no makeup (homebound due to chronic illness) so I didn’t need a double cleanse plus wiping with a tonic. I suspect I totally messed up my barrier, because my face is a bumpy mess now for the last three weeks😢 Itchy, stinging, lots of tiny breakouts from the temples to my neck..😓

    I double cleanse most evenings by removing my makeup with oil based cleanser, I use micellar water on my eyes, and then follow with cream or gel cleanser to cleanse my skin. Just like you if I don't wear makeup I only do one cleanse in the evening. I don't use exfoliating products every day as I have learnt the hard way that over-exfoliating my skin doesn't do it any good. x

    Hi! I do the same oil/cream cleanser combo on make-up days, cream cleanser only (Weleda Almond Cleanser) on the other days. My skin is very sensitive, so I don't use scrubby/foaming products at all. Would like to know which products you like - could not find them in the description box.

    Ich benutze eigentlich täglich eine wasserfeste Sonnencreme, aber wennschon auch nur das (abgesehen von z.B Hautcreme oder anderes), muss ich dann Double Cleanse mit einem ÖL und danach mit einem Reinigungsschaum machen?

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  4 роки тому +1

      Nicht unbedingt. Trägst Du die Sonnencreme einmal auf oder legst Du über den Tag nach? Bei einmaligem Auftrag und einem guten Reiniger bist Du sicher mit einmal gut bedient. Wenn Du allerdings mehrmal nachlegst, ist das eventuell zu wenig. Mit einem wirklich guten Cleanser ist das aber auch mit einem Mal möglich.

    Do I need to double cleanse to remove sunscreen or is using a gel cleanser enough?

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  5 років тому +1

      That depends on the sunscreen. If it is a water resistant one or "sports" version or whatever they want to call it, basically one that doesn’t rub off easily, I would use an oil based product to make sure you can break it down. If it is one of the city sunscreens that are not resistant to sweating, a thorough cleanse with a gel cleanser should be enough.
      Which sunscreen do you wear?

      It is! It is my favorite sunscreen, I use it almost every day. But I don´t always Double Cleanse: If I just apply the sunscreen in the mornings, no Makeup (as in no foundation), I just do one cleanse at night. If I do reapply the sunscreen throughout the day, wear foundation on top or do sweat exccessively, I Double Cleanse. To be completely honest, I go with how my skin feels, dirty and sweaty or fresh and nice...I am sorry if this is a little confusing.

    I started double cleansing (Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Oil, followed by a gentle foaming cleanser) about a month ago to remove sunblock before bed. But now I am worried that oil cleansing is causing my random patches of closed comedones on my cheeks. Is it possible that my oil cleanser causing is this? Should I stop double/oil cleaning to remove sunblock and just stick to my very gentle foaming cleanser? Thank you for all your helpful videos! :)

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  4 роки тому +2

      If you change one thing and experience a new issues, that can very well be the reason. But closed comedones can be caused by a numerous reasons, some being skincare, others being hormonal changes, so it is hard to tell. Maybe try using the foaming cleanser only for a while and see if that reverts the problem - if it does, it probably was the cause.

    • @DoctorAnne

    Kann man auch was anderes benutzen anstatt oil based cleanser also einmal eine Reinigungslotion und danach so schaum reiniger (ich habe halt gehört oil based cleanser sind nicht gut für Teenager haut) oder sollte ich überhaut nicht double cleansing (benutze aber Creme) bin 14

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  4 роки тому +1

      Ob Du Double Cleansing machen solltest, hängt davon ab, wieviel Makeup und Sonnenschutz Du trägst. Ich finde es nicht unbedingt nötig, vor allem nicht mit 14, wo man (zumindest glaube ich das) nicht zwingend jeden Tag stark deckende Foundation trägt.
      Grundsätzlich sind alle Arten von Cleanser möglich, auch der gleiche zwei Mal nacheinander, nur das "Original" ist eben mit Öl und dann Schaum.
