Beautiful views of Manitoba. 6 Days not so bad you were traveling. Looks like lakes are the best there

I completely understand that paying full price at a national park campground on a bike tour is way too much but I pay it because I use the parks lots and I know my money is going towards maintaining them. Thankfully, Parks Canada is finally starting to cater to the bicycle touring community, especially along the increasingly popular Icefields Parkway but it does take time and money. My niece and I rode Hinton to Canmore this past summer(2021) and two of the campgrounds (Honeymoon Lake and Jonas) now have self-supported cycling sites for just $5! A great compromise in my opinion! I'm finishing up that series still but I think the second and third episodes have those sites in them if anyone want to have a look! They're kind of a shared space situation but I think that's great and love meeting people on tour!

Really enjoying the series. My back is sore just thinking about the distances you were doing. Cheers TCC.

Nice video! Just an info for (maybe) next time. Fires actually scare animals away because of their smell. It's a good way to not ever see a bear. Also, when you see one, you should always let him kmow you're there by talking loud. Bears don't want anything to do with humans unless it's early spring and they have cubs with them or if you surprise them. Otherwise they'll just leave and go as far away from you as they can! ;)

Hi Liam. Thanks for sharing your cycling trip with us. What is the make of the hip bag you wore on the trip? Would you recommend it?
