MTG/MTGO is such a pathetic game these days. Nearly everyone plays the same combos, builds the same formulae, packs their decks with rares (meanwhile claiming their rares don’t mean they are good, powerful, or useful cards). What I see is people with no imagination merely buying their wins/victories and copycatting/cut-and-pasting decks they find online. No one takes chances. It is a dull and same shit different day game anymore.
Agreed, I love seeing original decks, and when that happens magic is actually really nice, competitive MTG is hella repetitive thx to people just copy pasting popular decks.. whenever I see someone play the generic value angels or something similar i just cringe inside.. Don't understand how people find copypasting fun
You have to remember that a lot of people that love playing MTG aren't the best deck-builders, may not great at evaluating cards yet, etc. Anyone can copy a decklist, but only a really good player can do well with a popular pile. On top of that, if a particular deck is super popular in the meta then you can know what to expect and build/play around it accordingly.
Where's Randy B, Rich Hagon and BDM? Great to see Marshall though.

That’s why I only play limited
@@Lucas-kf6ys Exactly, I only draft
Straight up. I love building my own deck. You can always catch the meta slipping when you don’t meta-slave
