I recently got the Dynamite 25A mini esc and a HW 4500kv 380 brushless motor for my 1/18 Axial Yeti Jr Can-Am. It was alot more expensive than other comparable choices, but wound up being an excellent combo for the little Can-Am. 3s is just a little to much power for it(rated for 2 or 3s) so I'm ordering a couple of 2s packs to run in it. I would like to try it out in the Mini-T on 3s though, just because of the lower cg it has. It wound up being an awesome setup for the small scale rc vehicles and I will definitely be buying another one for a different project. Good video.
@@thecollectorrc be warned, it rolls alot, especially on asphalt. Replacing the suspension links and control arms with aluminum parts and locking the rear diff helps quite a bit. Mine is extremely fast on open dirt and doesn't flip nearly as much now, even on the stock tires. I'm even thinking of trying a set of aluminum wheels and 1.55 tires to see if that helps a little more. Don't get me wrong, it's a great rc, and I'm glad I got it, it just takes time to get used to the higher center of gravity. GPM and Hot Racing makes alot of aluminum replacement parts for the Yeti jr.
nice man. I have the hobbywing 5200kv brushless system in mine, just the right amount of speed. I just ordered a mini b with the dynamite 2in1 and all of the mip upgrades too. Cant wait. Oh get some step pin tires for the rear makes a huge difference.
I just got the upgraded slipper clutch however no matter how tight i put it, it slips and the car barely even moves. I switched back to the stock slipper, but even that now slips no matter how tight it is. I’m not sure what to do
Am I able to pair my losi mini t 2.0 controller to the ecs I bought this motor and ecs but idk how to get my controller to connect or will I have to buy a different one and if so what kind
hey man im local to you and notice you are into alot of the same stuff im into as far as mini rc goes. we should meet up sometime and maybe set up some cones or something in a empty parking lot.
Are you a member of the Pacific Northwest Trail RC (P.N.W.T.RC) or a member of the Pacific Northwest Crawlers group? I highly recommend P.N.W.T.RC if you're more on the western side of WA.
Well then we'll definitely have to set something up for you to get some RC in. My names Robert J. I'm a moderator in the PNWTRC group. You should find me and reach out and we'll plan a meeting here in the near future. Even if that means a parking lot 😁.
@@thecollectorrc there is a 3300kV version of the 2435 rated at 18A and the stock ESC is 20A, will that fit? I'm new to the hobby, what else am I missing
Well I'd need to find my stock Receiver/Transmitter to take a look, but during this video I was using a Flysky GT3B I think and that has all the settings you need displayed on an LCD screen. I assume you want to limit it's speed for better control, or are you having issues with idling/brake/throttle points?
I have 2 surpass hobby combos, it works well!!!!
I use the same combo in my Losi Mini B, very cool and cheap set up!!!!
Cheers from Le Mans, France

We've been eyeballing those Yeti Jr. We'll more than likely have one soon on our channel.

Did the hobbywing 50 buck combo, worked great, put 3s on it and it was stupid fast then the esc fried lol
i bought the brushless version and had a hell of a time tuning it to not just flip everytime hitting it
Have you tried getting a wheelie bar?

My new tires arrived a couple days ago. 😉
@@thecollectorrc I have a new transmitter and reciever having a hard time bonding the together how was bonding the esc with transmitter?
Awesome video!! I bought the same setup for my deerc 1/18 monster truck how do you go up on the punch setting?? Do I need the card??
I believe so, but I think there's a "program" option with the power button as well.

Ive noticed that the stock pinion gear wont properly fit on this motor, is there any solution to this?

No you'll need a Transmitter/Receiver replacement unfortunately.
Will upgrading the mini t be a series? I just got one and would love to see some guides on what to do for upgrades
We are currently doing a mini series on them.
goog video🤩👍💯

Have you participated in any of the events? What about the Green River camp in August, you going?
@@thecollectorrc i have not yet. i tend to stay local and my baby is due in august so i will be probably taking the rest of the year off after that.

Can I run a brushless motor with the stock esc?
Unfortunately no you can not.

You're going to need to get an ESC that can run brushless. They are different. It's more based on the electronics not the amps.
@@thecollectorrc got it, thanks for the help

@@thecollectorrc i just wanna make sure im getting full throttle but no button on esc like most to set
What is the battery connection type comming from esc?
That would be the Deans connector.
Do you have a link to that battery?
I don't think I have it saved but I'll check my folders.
@@thecollectorrc i actually found it! Just ordered them. By chance im actually doing this exact same build
where can you get the upgrades?
Amazon or some local RC shops carry the setup. Amazon is your best bet.
what remote are you currently using?
It'll be the Flysky gt3b i believe. Right now its on the bench waiting.
was this on 2 or 3s lipo sir ?
Upgraded 2s lipo, 1500mAh. The upgraded motor and ESC was only rated for 2s. 😁
Mine rips,,
Cool little truck Nice work looks good check out my latest video see my collection 😀
