What an awesome surprise! Nice one mate. I had no idea mully's hung out in West Lakes! I thought you had to go to Salt Creek or near there to get them.
Cheers mate, yeah it was grunting so loud. Never heard one that loud! Yeah I could feel a lot of power behind those runs so wasn’t too keen to tighten up haha. Snap me in a heartbeat lol
I wouldn’t say that it’s toxic however generally has a lot of rubbish being a metro lake. I would much rather release mulloway. Hopefully can catch it again some day. Plenty of better eating table fish in my opinion 👍
Best bit about the vid you let it go well done mate your a legend you’ve set a good example for any one watching this 👍🏼🙏🏼
Such a beautiful fish hey! So good to see it swim away 👌 I definitely love to catch and release when I can 👍 really appreciate the comment 😊
Bruh the intensity on your face while you're fighting him! What a beast, how good on the light gear. 👌
Yeah, was sure it was going to pop any minute on 4lb. Kept the pressure on and came up with the goods 👌

Hey mate, Ecogear ZX40 did the job in this video. I’d worth having a Prolure blade in the box. They have produced well also 👌🎣

That's insane you caught a mullie on a whiting lure 😂 congrats mate! 👌
Definitely thought it was gonna bust me!
Haha yeh I was thinking same thing, were you running a heavier leader?
@@Daniel-xc8nf 4lb leader, lucky it was pinned by the assist hooks on the lure so the leader didn’t rub through 🙏
Let It Go God bless you a true fisherman
Let them go let them grow 👌 hopefully someone else will get to catch it 😊
Ripper mate!!

what time of year was this mate?
This footage was from July 👍
@@Karl_Wild_Fishing awesome. thought they were more of a summer catch but there ya go
I’ve caught them all year round in Westlakes however probably more so around winter when the bream start schooling up. Just using blades 👍
