The sheer amount of rotten food thrown out from these restaurants is beyond comprehension and SCARY at the least.
Even good restaurants waste a lot of food, bad restaurants end up either wasting absurd amounts of food or getting a lot of people sick.
National events like the derby waste truckloads of food. It's a hell of a thing to see and hear about when I have autistic students who spent months homeless with no food security.

@@maddie5540 most of us will get rid of spoiled food tho, because sure you can somewhat predict business but some weeks just don’t have much business and so you end up over ordering, it really comes down to the chef tho since they’re usually the ones controlling the fridge.
I'd only go to restaurants which have a high hygiene rate and has good reviews

My parents moved into a house with a double in-wall oven. One of the ovens broke. Dad was too cheap to have it fixed. Storage it became. I assume that the next owners of the house fixed or replaced the broken oven…

Actually felt bad for the first owner. She accepted responsibility and didn't seem like a bad person. Felt like she was getting sunk by her overconfidence in her incompetent kitchen head.

She didn't know what she was doing as an owner. Being an owner is not just collecting checks, you have to actually do something. When your restaurant doesn't do well, you investigate, you check the freezer to see what's in there, etc.

While Perla was definitely in over her head, she never should have been given a head chef’s job. The owner thought a catering business model could work in a normal restaurant.
Perla probably can cook. But that doesn’t mean you can be a chef.
Pearla was just... unbelievably incompetent. I have no idea why she was given that job. It's almost unfair what was expected of her when she can't even microwave food under pressure.

Perhaps Perla was good or at least competent enough during those times, however it's unreasonable to expect that she'd be able to take over a head chef position with no actual experience as a chef and not a caterer. It was definitely on the owner for putting that much pressure on her and also on Perla for not admitting to not being able to handle it.

It’s honestly quite amazing idea by the Kitchen Nightmare PR to be able to recycle same clips over and over again for revenue and make them not obsolete and gain far more views by just hiring people to add memes to them.
I really like when the owners admit that they’re not doing as well as they could be (like in the first clip). We always like looking at the cooks that are stubborn and refuse to admit they’re wrong, so it’s nice to see someone genuinely take what he says to heart sometimes.

I always knew these kitchens had ridiculous storage, but ever since working at a (5 star, it's amazing) hotel, it's night and day.
I don't work in the restaurant (I'm in guest services), but I pass by the kitchen and storage daily. I see hundreds of guests come down to eat in a weekend, and it NEVER looks like this.... I can HARDLY imagine.
