    Me personally I would add a piece of timber to the bottom 20mm just like a window cill but that would give you more to play with

    The water will push that all out, those metal strips will just keep them all together, there will be alot of pressure, especially by that window.
    You need some vertical pieces of wood to keep it from bowing out

    I would swap the top wood over, as you have cut into the top wood it now makes it a 2x2 which is supporting that full side, you wont notice 2 inches and it will strengthen up that whole side where the window is. The pieces of wood at the side of the window will be under great stress as water trys to push them out even though you have the metal bracing, be safe not sorry mate

      Do you mean turn it upside down? I did think of that briefly.

      @Carl.B79 no put a brand new 2x4 in there. The only thing stopping the sides from spreading apart at the front is that piece of wood that runs across the top of the window. The rest is reliant on the silicone holding onto the window to keep the sides in place.

    We all make mistakes building a pond i am sure you will sort it out
