Looks great, but looking at the video, I'm not sure how much you designed the level for speedrunning. Try looking at neon white and how they manage to mitigate linearity, which from what I can tell is the main problem.
I really like it! Great work so far! I especially liked the music! How'd you go about making it if I may ask? Also, I really enjoyed your 1 year of Indie game development video, it was quite motivational.
@@ReeceGeofroy Thanks for the response! So cool to hear from you. I meant the music actually! I have watched the godot video though! I'm eventually planning to make a game in godot, (though I'm focusing more on art and animation at this exact moment), so I added it to my vault of godot resources lol.
I really like the idea of the game but i think the part where you can improve it are: - A more clear way to indicate pathing to the player (currently it seems like a mess to figure it out) - More "juice" added to the gun shot it doesn't feel that much special and it's the core mechanics ! And also I think that air dash + the gun jump mechanic are a bit redondant, i wonder if you could not just cut it out to enforce the usage of the gun jump which is kinda the focus of the game Hope you'll achieve great things with this game ! And also great vidéo keep it up !
Looks like a really fun collect a thon! Really reminds me of the days when the genre was almost every game you could find which this showcases why. Collect a thons where really popular on the N64, PSX and Dreamcase because they are so easy to make for that time of the first 3D game consoles. So I would think this would be a great why for you to get used to making 3D games as ofcorse Nintendo and MR. Mymoto Sensei decided for the pack in game to the N64 would be a collect a thon Super mario 64... Maybe you can make somthing in that same vain but made for modern speed running inmidnd? Mybe even intenal bugs and skips that are more or less secret easy to pull of but still risky?
Use the Code "REECE" to start using SOBA November 27th: www.soba.xyz/
a map editor would be cool for this

Thank you! I made the game in Godot, I talked more about the actual process in my last video on learning godot in 5 days though!

Damn GJ for your work man ! Btw what are those musics ? I feel that i've already listened them
Thank you Alex! I use a lot of Nintendo / music from games I grew up on which is why they might sound familiar :)
UNIGINE Классный игровой движок. Попробуй его освоить) Или просто что то на нём сделать :)
Could we have an ending with the gun making omelets. That would just be neat.
That’s sounds hilarious 😅
Very nice
i like the art style! but the volcano kinda looks outta place, anyways overall it looks great!
Are you doing gamedev and youtube fulltime (is this your main occupation) btw?
Yes, this is my full time career :)

How the hell do you do this accidentally
