the wishclaw talisman thing doesn't work. If your Mishra creates the token copy, your Delayed Trigger tells you to sacrifice the token. If you don't currently control the token as your Delayed Trigger resolves, you cannot sacrifice the token. Therefore, the token simply remains on the Battlefield.. Interesting take on the upgrades tho, i built mine way different. went with gonti's aether heart for near infinite turns and big hits to all with vehicles etc. reaver titan is amazing, same with knight paladin.
I live this entire set, from the main set, to the set pack exclusives, to the Precons. While I admit there’s a lot more “cooler” things Mishra can do I think, but I love Urza (esper and azorious versions) a little better. But that’s just my classic style. Anything with an elegant design that cares about aggro/attacking will take my heart lol. Love the tech!!
Probably my favorite upgrade I put in has been cyberdrive awakener. This deck ends up with so many non creature artifacts on the board that suddenly turning ALL of them into 4/4s with flying is a wincon my opponents rarely expect. Yes it likely turns off Mishra's Ability for that turn... but you can likely take out an opponent late game with nothing bit your mana rocks.
The token wishclaw won't be sacrificed if we give it to an opponent since the trigger is ours but we can't sacrifice an opponents permanent so you can do it but you will be continuously giving tutors to opponents
Probably not worth it. Also can't be played on t1 (if that's relevant to you), but since it inly searches for mana rocks, I would keep Hedron Archive so that in the late game I can search for card draw. But you surely see how clumsy that is, so...
I built this deck too! The things you can do with Mishra are pretty dope. My favorite is copying wishclaw talisman. Him being in Grixis gives access to bolas citadel, top, aetherflux as well as reality chip, cost reduction combos. Just so much good stuff and artifact abuse!
the problem with wishclaw is that if u make a token and use his ability he will be controlled bo another oponent and his "ssacrifice at end step ability" will fizzle so your oponent will get a 4/4 wishclaw that dont need to be sacked
For the Wishclaw Talisman If you have an instant speed artifact or creature sac outlet like Master Transmuter/Audacious Reshapers,Fain the broker etc. you can can activate Warform token of Wishclaw, hold priority than sacrifice it. you will still get the tutor ability and the token copy is gone so that another opponent doesn't get the talisman.
Some budget Options for fast mana are dark ritual, simian spirit guide, just all signets/talismans, coveted jewel and chromatic orary (i even think anciant tomb would be better as mox opal as its better standalone and with signets) all the artifact reducers are nice. lotus petal if you can afford it
Leaning more into vehicles with my build. Knight paladin and reaver titan from the warhammer decks to constantly burn opponents. 10 to each opponent every turn withe reaver titan and mishra crewing the original. Even if both get blocked. Bunch of the vehicles that make tokens just to jam up the board in needed, enchanted carriage, thunderhawk gunship, and night scythe. Then couple of fun things. Retributive wand. When it gets destroyed deal 5 damage to any target. Mightstone and weakstone for draw or removal even if the token gets sacked to legend rule. Cabal paladin, reckless fireweaver and agent of the iron throne to ping when artifacts etb, ltb or cast. And then just the few other ability copying cards that were left out of the deck.
Bought this precon a month ago, upgraded a little including a gravepact. Kept copying mishras ability so i was making people sac 2 things every turn. Lot of hate lol
One thing with the servo schematic, sometimes this dinky little tokens end up going nuts if you get brudiclad out and start doing some wonky stuff, but then again, could just make treasure tokens.
I'm going the treasure token route for brutaclad synergy. If I can't get him out I will still get value from treasure. Hoard hauler, prized statue are good ones I have found
Drach'Nyen from the Grixis warhammer precon is probably a better include than the duplicant since it's a non-creature artifact that does basically the same thing. Also it's less than $1!
@@JakeandJoelareMagic lol I slid my foil commander Jhoira into the binder because I found that old border one in the precon so fetching I really want that in foil
I grabbed the urza deck. I will say that there are more 'set-up' cards than anything else. It works better in a 4+ player game than 1v1. It takes awhile to get going.
I love the deck, but it really has a tough time putting a game away... The copy/sacrifice effects give a lot of value but the only real wincon I've seen is Gonti's Aether extra turns. I really wish there was more variety in the builds/ methods for winning.
Determined Iteration, Sundial of the Infinite and Cyberdrive Awakener for token abuse. Foundry Inspector, Etherium Sculptor and Enthusiastic Mechanaut for cost reduction. The Stasis Coffin is another artifact to copy. Wondrous Crucible is meh for me. 36 lands is ideal for me.
Correction for wishclaw talisman!!! The moment u make a copy of talisman u can use it yes, but then u have to give into an oponent and the tokens will not be sacked, cause u no longer control him, so basically everytime u make a copy of talisman and use it your oponent just gains a free 4/4 with wishclaw talisman abilities(the only way to prevent it is to sacrifice the token in response to activating his ability)
They still have the sac clause no? Just because you change control of an object doesn't mean it's a new object. It's still affected by mishra's sac clause right? I'm not a judge so I could be wrong
It looks like I was wrong here. The sacrifice is a delayed trigger created by Mishra when the token is created. Since I control the card that created the delayed trigger, it is mine when it goes on the stack. I then cannot sacrifice something I do not control
I built my Mishra deck up from scratch. 2 really great cards to work with are gontis aether heart and lithoform engine. Also... mechtitan core... with this deck, you can make a mechtitan, and keep the original core!! Talk about fun. Also, for cheap cards, kaladesh had the implements that draw cards when they leave the battlefield. Throw in the new transmogrants altar to sack the tokens and make a permanent new 3/3 token for the future.
@@fosterdawson7339 the mechtitan is legendary, so if you want a copy of it you'd need to somehow copy the token with some other means. Mishra just gives you the opportunity to keep the original core which is low powered enough to not upset most people.
I put KCI in, Myr Retriever and Scrap Trawler so I ca go infinite with Marionette Master, put in arcbound Ravager just cuz I love the card, prized Statue, Sculpting Steel, smokestack, my favorite add has been Contagion Engine, having everything get -1/-1 counters every turn, Ugin's Nexus, Arcum Dagsson of course, the Mightstone and Weakstone is great in the deck, prized Statue, portal to Phyrexia

Hey, thanks. Please make more of these. I love seeing the upgrade videos.
Joking aside, can’t wait for the esper one. And you’re right, duplicant is awesome.

If you play an artifact land after the awakener enters you can still get the 4/4 land with haste XD

That's really sad, I was watching that segment and was really excited
This deck is actually crazy fun to play- it’s pretty slow, but its got a lot going on, which is rare for precons.
These Budget or Bling videos are great. Is there a plan to do one for the Urza pre-con?
Great video thanks so much for the relaxed nature, definitely subscribing.
Would Moonsilver Key not be better than Wayfarer’s Bauble since you can also use it to tutor up artefacts?

5:12-5:17 Jester's Cap is currently 0.27$ on TCGPlayer, lol. Crazy what a reprint will do for some cards.
Love the upgrade videos lol
I love seeing your take! Helps me think about my own decks
When is the other precon upgrade coming? 🤔
Loved the video my man ❤
Combining the Urza and Mishra Precons to make a Breya Commander Deck is pretty fun
Oh shit that's and interesting idea!

I think im gonna cut more land lol, with so many artifact i always bring 30 or 32 lands
Hold on, let me find my Workshop. It's in my bulk binder. Somewhere
