amazon has it hard . Exemple ? Ac-delco oil filter . The portion i am aware of there used to be professional oil filter . Just a name . To get equivalent now ? It's under oe . Gold is now the new professional . The old professional does not exist anymore but seller on amazon still have stock of old professional . Usually many brand seal the filter end . So oil filter quality is still high

They do have good stuff on Amazon! Just wish they estimated arrival times better! Most of the good old companies are living on a name now. We have an Amazon warehouse 20 miles away now. That has helped a little speeding things up.

This is the 650 cfm. I had already installed a c6 cable kickdown conversion that is $16.99 on Amazon. Had to adjust the cable for this carb. Here is the Amazon link. 0) The glass filters should be universally avoided. The o-rings are prone to leaking, and if the glass hits something solid while the engine is running/vibrating, you could be equally screwed. I know a lot of car guys, and none of them use the glass filter.
    1) To remove old carb studs, simply double-nut them and use a proper wrench.
    2) When you tighten the carb stud nuts, it is recommended to tighten them in a criss-cross pattern.
    3) If you put grease on the base gasket, the gasket becomes pretty much re-usable and you won't have problems removing it later.

I’ve read many good things about this new carby!
I’m currently running an Edelbrock 500 AVS on my mild 318 but I’ve often thought that it was too small?
I wonder how this new Edelbrock 650 would work on my engine?
I also run manifold vacuum on mine after experimenting as I found that it runs and idles better this way.

I have heard a bunch if horror stories about the fuel filters you are using such as breaking, leaking and that can result in fire. A metal canister filter kind of like the one used on the C2 Corvettes (1963 to 1967) can be obtained with fittings on both ends for 3/8 inverted flare tubing. Much safer filter and the factory recommendation for replacement is 12,000 miles. I believe the WIX part number is 33481. I do not need to see inside and knowing the filter is not going to melt or leak, I am fine with this style filter. It flows between 1 to 2 gallons per minute. I doubt even your 428 will consume this much.

I changed things up by the carb. I've been using the glass ones with the metal ends for over 20 yrs. If you know what you are doing I've never broken one or had an issue. Appreciate it!
