I purchased iPhone 13 (Blue) this weekend and I have to say that I still think a lot about the Mini that I passed over and wonder if I should have picked it up instead over the next 24 months. Happens with a lot of great tech. You know, the one that got away!
For what it’s worth, I purchased the mini and regret it. Lighter and smaller sound great on paper but I miss watching videos on a larger screen and I accidentally touch the camera lenses all the time while holding it, smudging the lens. I hadn’t realized how much I got used to the larger size. I’ll probably switch to a 13 soon.
@@brokenbones01 I don’t know if you have switch to iPhone 13 yet but if you haven’t, you should! The regular 13 is way better with better battery camera and the size is pretty good too. For me at least , it’s not too big or not too small like the mini for me.
I'm still bumped that Apple didn't send out different colours to different tech reviewers. It could've helped consumers to make better decision for pre-orders.

Midnight matches the leather phone cases the most so part of the decision was on that. Did you pick one? The red looks really nice as it’s a deep dark red but didn’t like how it looked with cases
@@sidv4615 battery life has been great. I'm not a gamer. I use my phone for calling, texting, music, audio books and internet access. Lasts me all day without a recharge. Is it as long lived as my Sammy s10 lite? No. Is it more than acceptable? Yes.

@@KaedeharaK1d The 13 Mini's battery is comparable to my 12 Pro that I traded in. The 13 Mini charges fast because of the smaller battery but Apple improved it from the 12 Mini. I don't have any issues with battery life and I'm a heavy user. The size and weight of the 13 Mini is awesome compared to my previous 12 Pro.
I got the iPhone 13 standard yesterday and I couldn’t be happier. I had the iPhone 8 and wanted a bigger screen. That’s why I didn’t go with the mini. Because the mini is the same size as the iPhone 8
The new blue it's like a mix of the iPhone 12 blue and the iPhone XR blue and I love it. I really don't like the iPhone 12 blue color but the 13 is really nice.
Hi, I've had my Blue Mini for a week now and battery life is not a problem. However, I’ve been using Low Power mode and my battery life is insane! Now, I'm a casual user and I’m not trying to be the next Stanley Kubrick, but with Low Power on from the start of my day till nearly Midnight (Texas time), I have 63% battery life. I made the LP mode switch available in the Control Panel so it’s easy to turn on/off as needed. However, I haven’t noticed any impairment leaving it in LP Mode but have noticed that my battery life is fantastic! Who needs a battery pack??? Give it a try. It would be great to see a video comparing the results on the Mini from someone who is a power user.
what are your most frequent apps and screen time in a day with that battery consumption? I am hesitating b/w the mini and the regular 13 because the battery is much much better. I am used to a durable 11 pro battery and cannot get over upgrading the phone while actually downgrading the battery. With the mini, I think battery would be a downgrade from 11 pro considering all the videos I saw. With 11 pro I could go 2 days with my usage if I didn't charge every night. It's nice knowing that I can rely on my phone when I cannot charge.
@@amz3409 The only real difference is the screen size and a little bit better battery life which isn’t that big of a deal in reality. If you are constantly on your phone playing games or doing things that will tax your battery life then get the 13. If you use your phone as a phone and your use is more as needed, then get the Mini. That’s how I use mine and it works just great!
Hey, really look forward to battery comparison video of 12 pro vs 13 pro simply because i just bought 12 pro and the battery is lacking compared to mate 20 pro (note: charged between 20%~80%, iphone : maybe around 4-5 hours sot with little gaming, mate : around 6+ hours)

The Iphone 13 Mini is the phone for me. Probably the best phone I’ve had in awhile. It’s comfortable, refreshing and fun. I would prefer to see smaller devices in the long run. Having to carry less weight is essential. Plus, having stuffed pockets while walking around may not be the best idea. Hope Apple will continue with the mini form factor, as an alternative for us who want to have a break from all these gargantuan phones. Sadly, This 13 mini will be the last of the breed. Shame on Apple for ending the Mini series. If Apple still want to continue with the mini, I think Apple should update the mini lineup every 2/3years.

iphone 13 mini would be the best choice. probably the only reason you'll buy an iphone 13 would be because of the screen size and battery capacity. that's about it. all the other specs are the same for both iphone 13 and iphone mini. the price for a 128GB iphone 13 is the same as a 256GB iphone 13 mini. I'd rather buy a phone for the memory capacity.

Hi, im considering moving over to the Iphone 13 from my 3 year old Oneplus 6. Im wondering whether the cost of getting 13pro over 13 will be worth it, but i dont care much about camera features though…my biggest consideration is the ProMotion feature as future proofing. FYI, i already have an Ipad Air 4, hence the transition to Apple ecosystem. What’s ur opinion?
In my opinion, I wouldn’t go for the pro or pro max levels unless I planned on shooting dedicated 4k or want easy focus macro shots. I’m considering going from the xr to the 13 mini for the form factor and upgraded cameras, but the regular 13 might win me over due to the bigger battery life alone. I switched from the one plus 5t back to apple with the xr, and the change in photo quality was so much better it was unreal. And apple finally had all the features I switched to android for, so I’ve been happy. That being said, if you’re going from oneplus 6 to 13, I bet the QoL improvements by the base model 13’s will be more than satisfactory enough.
I doubt the Pro is more future proof than the regular 13. If you don’t care about the camera difference then don’t upgrade. Regarding ProMotion, it doesn’t make that much difference because iOS is already super smooth on 60Hz
@@ahappycoder2925 if you go into a store and watch the 13 pro and 13 side by side it's a huge difference in smoothness. The regular 13 is still very smooth, but 13 pro feels way better. If you come from a ProMotion phone it would take a few days to get used to the iphone 13, but otherwise if your older phones had 60hz then yeah it's still great

It is. I'm using my s20+ charger for everything from Nintendo Switch, Pocket Wifi, Smartphones of different manufacturers, Bluetooth Buds and Headphones, too and all have been doing good so far even after more than a year on most devices

i loved my iPhone 12 mini but transitioned into a 13 regular. i had a theory that the mini's had a smaller antenna without looking up the actual specs i have ATT where i live and it sucks and it has managed to pick up an extra bar of service on the 13 than on the 12 mini but still crappy reception. and now with the increased battery life and yes bigger screen despite how uncomfortable it may be for my hands with the weight i am on the fence of going back,
13 is better than mini because of battery life alone. Not many tests so far but Tom's Guide got almost 2 hours longer with the 13 at 10:33 total vs 8:41 for the mini. The 13 is only a half-hour less than the beast from last year, the 12 Pro Max!
Man having 128gb same price at 64gb of precious generation is not cheaper it’s only marketing that suggests you it’s cheaper. SSD storage is the technology that grows up faster in hardware engineering, storage and velocity of ssd rapidly increases keeping the same price. Tbh apple still sells you storage at almost double the price. Should start with 256gb at that price
For those kick stand cases, can you adjust how they're positioned or are there only 2 position (closed and all the way open)? Specifically, do they allow you change the angle of the phone / adjust the camera height?

The problem is the mini should be the SE version given that the 1st gen design were taken starting the 12 series.

SSD storage is the technology that grows up faster in hardware engineering, storage and velocity of ssd rapidly increases keeping the same price. Tbh apple still sells you storage at almost double the price. Should start with 256gb at that price
