Federico Chiesa agrees to Liverpool move as deal with Juventus edges closer

Liverpool are in talks with Juventus over a deal for Federico Chiesa and are moving closer towards an agreement.
Discussions are understood to be ongoing over an initial £10m (€12m) fee plus bonuses.
Negotiations remain ongoing and there is increasing confidence on all sides of a deal being done.
Chiesa has already said yes in principle to moving to Anfield, with Liverpool ready to hand him a four-year contract.
The situation is moving quickly with less than three days of the transfer window remaining.

Chiesa is World Class and this fee is a bargain for the player he is and can become down the line. Very happy with this news as a Liverpool fan. He really caught my eye with his performance against England in the Euros Final where he singlehandedly destroyed our defence and I remember how relieved I was that he had to get subbed due to injury. Ever since then I've been keeping tabs on him and we have been rumoured on signing him since 2020 which never materalised, finally we are about to sign him.
My only big concern is that he's been injury prone over the last few years so that could be a reason for the low fee which remains to be seen. I hope he can stay fit and healthy for us because on the pitch he's going to destroy defenders with his pace and dribbling ability.

Actually I didn't support this signing. For me it is a reckless misplacement of our priority as we're most obviously in need of a No 6 like Ederson from Atalanta. Chiesa's injury records strengthen my 'NO' position on him. However, when i looked outside the box we should recall that Van Dhyk tore his ACL too. Initially, yes it was very tough for him but now he's back to 90% of his best. The same transformation could happen to Chiesa too. It would be a huge advantage for Liverpool if Arne Slot could help him get back to his best.
