Living with the Sony Aibo ERS-210 Pt 1

Here's some footage of my newly adopted Aibo ERS-210 in action, Haji!
He plays with his ball, mostly unsuccessfully, but he does register when he sees it, robo-crabwalks towards it, and tries to kick it. Haji's pretty bummed out about something - maybe it's the ball, or because I'm not paying him enough attention or rubbing the right sensors in the right sequence. I'm totally winging this as I don't know the correct commands, but he does seem to react to my praise. Or maybe it's just wishful thinking... Either way, Haji's training me to be an attentive robot dog owner!

AIBOs automatically get get upset when they think they do not kick the ball far enough. If you quickly move the ball away from them a short distance away they may get happy and seem happier afterward rather than being bummed out when reacting to the stimuli of it afterward

i saw your comment on the giant robo trailer and i was wondering if you know anyone i could contact to maybe get a copy of those trailers, or if you maybe have them saved somewhere could i possibly have them? it seems like they are nowhere to be found on the internet and its so sad considering how much the trailer has kept me in awe ever since i saw it as a kid. thanks!

Hey! Sorry I haven't checked this account in years - my main is @plasticmissile. Sorry but I only have the trailers on DVD - they are copyright protected which is why I couldn't upload them. You can see all of them if you get the Giant Robo boxset from Anime Works, which is where I cut the trailers. Glad you enjoyed them!
