I really love mine. I had a Honda accord 2014, it was totaled last year, unfortunately (not my fault) and I used the payout to get the Jetta and honestly I’m impressed. I’ve never had a German car before and I do enjoy it.
Love my 2019 Jetta! The first to have the longer, wider wheel base. No maintenance, but a 6 year bumper to bumper warranty. Had a censor replaced for free. Other than that, trouble free in my 4th year. I baby my Jetta. Garage kept and less than 20,000 miles on it. It's like a brand new car.
The Jetta looks to be a dynamite machine to own but I'm still leery of VW's reliability and dependability. What makes that issue better, I think, is the new 2 year Complimentary Maintenance program they now have. It's definitely a step in the right direction, speaking for myself. Again, a great review from you, as always. Dig: many commenters and reviewers of the Jetta often criticize the car's conservative look. In a way I believe its look won't look dated as time goes by...know what I'm sayin'? Anyway, peace to you and I hope your Thanksgiving went super well..🙏♐!
Owned 2x Jettas and neither have let me down. I think the big thing with German cars in general is being diligent about maintenance. If you follow the schedule they treat you well.
Cool video, do you have the drivers seat all the way back when you’re in the back seat? Also, do you know how the stock speakers sound? I don’t want to spend an extra few thousand just for beats, if the stock are decent.
Wish the 10 inch digital gauge cluster would come standard in all trim levels. Looks so much better than the 8”. Especially since 2024 is the last of this generation Jetta. Also wish you could add the beats audio on the lower trims, the 4 speaker is a yikes
One of the best cars for the money in my opinion!! As you know, I have a 2022 Taso SEL four-motion and I love it, but do not like the turbo lag. It's a lease so will be gone at the beginning of 2025 and I will move on to something else. Love your reviews for many reasons.
Get rid of that silly sunroof and add rear seat vents. They really dumped down the Jetta with the cheep torsion beam suspension. Need to go Bach to the independent in rear.
Just picked up a 2024 S model, stickshift (bit tough to find, but I snagged one). $21.7K out the door ( almost 2K below MSRP when you exclude taxes and fees). Went for broke and extended the bumper to bumper coverage (Platinum coverage) out to 10 years and 120K miles. That put me at $25.2K out the door with a maxed out warranty. Can't beat that price compared to Toyota, Honda or Hyundai. This sucker is gonna stay with me for a while. Hate the 3 second hill assist, they made it way too long, making me look like an amateur stalling out on big hills for the past 3 days. I would mess with the OBD code, but I paid too much for that 10-yr extended warranty to go and void it, so I'll learn to adapt to that freedom hating, communist feature /s. Other than that, not bad fit and finish interior for a base model compact commuter, and not gonna lie, it's been pretty fun to drive compared to the sonata, though I still prefer the latter for my family cruising. At any rate, I plan to hold on to this one for the full 10 years. Cheers!
7:25. The finish underneath the rear bumper appears kind of shoddy, otherwise a very nice car. I like the Jetta, but always concerned about VW's long term reliability.
In PA there's short on ramps to 65/75mph highways. Acceleration test is necessary. The exhaust clip because the Jetta is a somewhat popular tuner car so it helps ppl decide if they want to modify the exhaust. 👍🏻
The Jetta is in desperate need of a redesign. There's some great things still here, like the amazing steering wheel and seating, but overall we need an MK8 because YIKES that body is dated. Unfortunately I don't think we'll be getting one since VW just called their brand "uncompetitive" and wants to shift even more into electric. I think the Arteon will be the future.
jetta looks great. the timing belt instead of timing chain is beyond asinine, VW is overloaded with unsold EVs and is laying off people. stupid people in high positions.
I like it the way it is. Sleek, minimalistic styling never goes out of style. I prefer this over the aggressive, over-styling of the new Hyundai Elantra and Sonata.
..oh no... touch panel "buttons" on the infotainment.... .. nope.. nope.. MmmMmmm NO! NO! NO! HELL NO!.......... NO!.... Had that crap in a 2014 Ford Fusion and my god it was a pain at times.
i decided to not buy this car because it has a timing belt and not a timing chain. all the work they put into making this car looks nice and they stupidly decide to use an outdated, prone to break timing belt instead of a lifetime reliable timing chain.
Just replaced my timing belt in 2017 Tiguan. $ 2, 840.51 and in the shop for 3 months because they couldn’t find the issue. At 60,000 miles. AND a fuel pump. Merry Christmas to me!!
My 2020 SEL Premium is bought/paid for. I've had no issues with it. No reason to get rid of it.
Had a 2020 Volkswagen Jetta SEL Premium, had it for about 2.5 years. No issues whatsoever. Love it while I had it.
well yeah, you only had it for 2 and a half years. That is not long at lol.
I own a 2023 VW Jetta SEL - no complaints ! fun to drive and show off.
@@Slavic_Boer noted. thanks
2020 Jetta S almost 60k, bought it brand new. Still drives like new! Ride is even better with high quality tires. Ill keep this one for awhile.

2019 Jetta r-line.. had for almost 3 years now… no complaints!
I own a 2020 GLI with 55k miles and it really is a great car. No major issues, fun to drive and great on fuel economy.
Nice review on the Jetta.
You got to give it up to VW on this one. The Jetta SEL, sold for $28,090 in 2019. That makes it a bargain at today's price.
2019 R Line. At 47k miles. Been a great car and amazing fuel economy.

No torque converter issues?

VW is a better vehicle than 95% of everything else .
Insane new Volkswagen Jetta sedan to buy.

Great job bud
2018 Jetta has been good
My mom got a 2016 vw Jetta 1.4 T and it’s has independent rear suspension. So I see they down graded
I'm considering a 2024 GLI 40th Anniversary/Autobahn ...
Would definitely love one
hmm... most owners hate on the Beats!

lots of reports saying its muddy and unclear. @@AladdinSaneNYC

The engine will blow up around 90-100k , the transmission will last an eternity , it's a toyota 8 speed bulletproof
Why no more diesel ??
I dont understand reviewers doing drag speed test and exhaust clips on a regular car like a jetta

what you don't want is for your steering to be loosey goosey.

Kind of an even more luxury version.
I’m thinking car makers are simply abandoning people movers. It’s kinda crazy

Why would you pay that much just for a timing belt? You must have blown it off and done more damages?@@shannoncheney8155
Things happen. If it wasn’t the timing belt, it would be something else. You’re not going to find a car that has nothing breakable.
Even the 2024 Corolla has a timing belt, correct?
