If I’m looking for good fiscal management and a rational foreign policy that reflects the dangerous world we live in, which party should I park my vote with? Certainly not green/NDP/PPC. Nobody who’s watched the last 9 years can say with full honesty that the liberals have been good stewards of the economy or have represented us well on the foreign stage (outside of renegotiating NAFTA… credit where credit is due). That leaves the Tories, who admittedly have not said much about foreign policy beyond Israel but appear more adept at managing the economy.
So I say again, what options are there for disaffected centrist voters who are fleeing the left leaning Trudeau liberals?

As someone who has been involved in politics for 40 years, I can tell you that if the Cons form the next government, things will not significantly change.
Before you sign onto Little PP being the next PM, take some time to understand who he really is.
1. Pierre was trained and mentored by Harper. In case you forgot, Harper did not like a free press (Little PP is the same)
2. Little PP owns and operates a consulting firm. Little is known about who the clients are.
3. Little PP own multiple properties and is a landlord
4. Eliminating the carbon tax is not a guarantee for lower energy costs
5. Historically, both Liberal and Conservative governments have cut taxes in one area and raise them elsewhere
6. Immigration policy will not change. Immigration is needed to fill vacant positions and the need will increase due to baby boomers retiring. Besides, post secondary institutions like the profits they get from international students
7. What policies will the Conservatives enact to lower costs, improve housing, tackle climate change, raise household incomes? They have not presented any real policies.
Before you accuse me of being a Liberal, I'm not. I am an independent centrist and I avoid both hard right and hard left policies. The Liberals haven't done a good job in the last couple of years. But in my experience, the Cons will not do any better.

I think that Tracy needs to pay more attention to politics if she can't see the difference. The conservatives want to balance the budget. Rather than spend billions on interest for the deficit we could be spending the money on hospitals and schools and helping the poor. That's only one of the major differences between the conservatives and liberals. Perhaps sniper team should do a little bit more research as well and he would understand the specific differences. The conservative platform is not as open-ended as he thinks. And don't worry, they will give their entire platform once there is an election period if they give it too soon the Liberals will certainly steal their ideas. We've definitely seen that before. We need an election now.

I can see how the Carbon Tax could be a good idea, the problem is it was implemented terribly and isn't being used properly (shocker with the PM who said "the budget will balance itself"). If it were used against high pollution corporations to encourage greener emissions and the profits actually put towards climate action it would be plausible, but when our "leader" is using it to give him and his buddies a raise and to take $60,000 trips to New York... not ok
