I remember a competition among southeast Asian athletes . There were two competitors vying for the first spot in rowing. One was a Filipino. The other was from another country. They were equally matched. For some unknown reason, the other competitor fell off his boat and was struggling. The Filipino abandoned his boat, swam towards the 0other kid and saved him thus forfeiting the medal for that game. This is a very good example of the caring nature of Filipinos... ( tulungan.... malasakit...pakikipagkapwa...)
This man the way he speak totally can understand, and learn more about him, i wish he have UA-cam to watch so we as a Filipino can learn more about history
I love this man's take on the Filipino culture and languages. Some great insights on Filipinos and why they are so multi talented. It makes so much sense. And, I especially liked when he said "you will have no difficulty learning anything if you are doing it in a spirit of play!" This is a good thing to remember when we want to learn something new, whether it be a language, a physical skill, a mental skill, or whatever. It will always be easier to learn if it is done as play. Thanks for highlighting this video, Nelly!❤ Aloha at Mabuhay!🤙
that was very educational history of Filipino's.. blast from the past to the future, that's why I admire our culture so much not any other countries can compare! Mabuhay Filipinas :)
This is a tear-jerking informative and inspiring video, Nelly. Even I, a Filipino am reminded of this lost culture. I see this in our society way back the 80s and 90s. It is sad to sa that in most places, especially in the urban society here in the Philippines is already a lost language. We have been so influenced by the western world and by social media that changed our youth's paradigm, moral, culture, manners, and even spirituality. I hope this world can bring back the old good values and pass them on to the next generation and so. We are one world. We are one people.
AS I WAS LISTENING TO THE NARRATION ABOUT THE FILIPINO CULTURE, THE CORE VALUE, OR THE CENTER POINT OF PH CULTURE IS TOGETHERNESS, IN TAGALOG, PAKIKI PAGKAOWA, OR ONENESS. GOOD LUCK TO ALL PINOYS , FOR THE WHOLE WORLD LOVING US. MABUHAY. 9:43 PM FRIDAY. OCT. 25, LAST VEGAS , U.S.
I am a Filipino and very proud of it because our culture so beautiful before we invade other countries like Spain etc.. Thanks to the beautiful lady that somehow want to know the Filipino history... I think this country was in the Bible history... The name "ophir" was referred to the pearl of the orient seas. Pearl of the orient seas refer to the Phillipines or Las Islas de pilipinas.. Thanks to you beautiful lady and take care.., ❤❤...
Very interesting take on our culture specially our language contrary to what was taught, it is positive, inspiring and hope. Thank you for this wonderful story
What do you know of other cultures or countries to come up with the conclusion that we're the best? Have you ever lived in other countries? I have and I'm telling you Filipino and the Philippines are great but I won't say we're the best. Exaggerating po yan kapatid.
Thanks a lot Ms. Nelly for always support our traditional culture. Being Pilipino's proudly PINOY'S. Thank you also your nice reaction, I appreciate your nice reaction. I always happy for you're reaction. I hope more videos and reactions. Please take care of your self and safe because I care. Almighty GOD guide and bless you always 🙏💝🙏💚🙏💓🙏💙🙏💖🙏💛🙏💗🙏💜🙏.
This are the people we have lost, they're everywhere before, when I was a kid back in 1996-2005 all the elders was like this they know a lot about history and they're all well knowledgeable to our culture, and they've been doing their best to pass it on to the next generations, but it's sad that we have lost it, the elders from before really did their best to teach childrens, but now childrens are the one trying to teach the elders..😢
Nelly, just a piece of advice you only learn & practice Tagalog because all Filipino can understand tagalog wherever you go in the country because we hava tagalog subject in school..Thanks...
Hello mam nelly thank u for sharing this video ive learned so.much about what our filipino culture, this is new from me❤and by the way u look stunning and georgeous now😍🤩
Or is it the other way around? Malaysians migrated to Luzon and way down south of the country; while Indonesians to the northern part. There are similarities with the Ilocano and Javanese languages. And since the early Filipinos traded with some Pacific islanders by selling products they purchased (like silk from China) could account, for example, for a similarity with Visayan and Saipan dialects in the counting of numbers.1 to 10.
In Hawaiian, lima means ✋️ hand. What does the hand have, 5 fingers. Astonishing that many Filipino words means the same in Asian countries and Pacific Isalnds languages. Like numbers and verbs like eat.
great explanation of historian professor. but sad to say coz of foreign invasion in the 16th century little by little the filipinos culture and tradition were gradually decreasing...Filipino heritage were almost gone as the day go by
We just welcome the chinese in Taiwan, the reason for Taiwan to became predominantly chinese nowadays.. Taiwan, Guam and Hawaii is part of the Philippines...
Pilipino is the oldest son of Noe,Shem is the oldest son of Noe,Noe sons shem, Cham and Japheth, shems territory is ASEA including middle east Ang in the far East Asia,
The first Filipinos were black. They. migrated east from Africa. Then Taiwanese migrated south I'm told there's at least one black island left. Many Filipino blacks migrated to Australia and other islands. Then came the Spanish for over 300 years. Then came Americans for about 50 years.
There was an effort to minimize or remove the real origin/ history of the Philippines, why is that? Philippines could be the Ophir & Tarshish in the Bible before there was Taiwan or China or Africa

nagkainan si tatay at nanay,
Hi Mam Nelly, who is this Filipino professor?
Pilipino is the oldest son of Noe,Shem is the oldest son of Noe,Noe sons shem, Cham and Japheth, shems territory is ASEA including middle east Ang in the far East Asia,

Thanks for sharing! ☺️
I don't believe that Philippines originated from Africa
Philippines is the center of marine biodiversity, how do you explain that
There was an effort to minimize or remove the real origin/ history of the Philippines, why is that? Philippines could be the Ophir & Tarshish in the Bible before there was Taiwan or China or Africa
Nobody migrated from East Africa to the Philippines. The Negritos have different DNA from Africans. St00pidity.
but we are divided politically. and also in religion.
So sad
Philippines is the figured or a picture of all nations, our national anthem has so many meanings literal and spirituals, the suns symbolize the God the father and his son Jesus Christ, the three stars represents ,the father, the sons and spirits, means spiritual,in literal, the three stars the Three big island's,Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao,it also represents the three big continent of the world, ASEA, middle east and Europe, and also represents the three sons of Adam and eve,Cain and Abel and set,the eight represents Noe his wife and their Three sons shems Cham and Japheth and their Three wife's of shem Cham and Japheth, and the twelve stars represents the twelve of esraelites, and in the Philippines represents the twelve, regions of Philippines,
Ohhh first time I heard of it
One thing for sure, Filipino impossible. 😊😅
Nelly find Filipino husband so you have more knowledge of Philippines history, cultural history and more...Hahaha
Sir the you have your migration in opposite direction. Philippines is where Almighty Fsther created Adam from the ground ; 🇵🇭 is the Land of Creation !!! Not Tainan.
I'm happy that I'm leaving in Philippines,,even my blood are not pure pilipino,,❤❤❤
Being genius here in ph, is non sense. Many Filipinos inventors not supported of ph gov.😢 Other countries they appreciate Filipino inventors.
So sad
Yep thats why we an Island Nation have about 120 local dialects ..
Wow
❤😊
