Making up metal coolant pipe - shaping - welding - basic tools - SUZUKI SX4

Suzuki SX4 1.6 Diesel
This is a 2009 classic mk1 Suzuki SX4
Tools used
1.brake pipe bender
2. pipe cutter
3. sleeve and bar i.e. long socket and bar to make adjustments
4. Vice ( No.0 & No.1 Record vice used in video with jaw protectors on No.1 vice to prevent damage to pipe but could use a cloth.
1.2mm square of steel to brace and weld on as can be seen in video
Steel galvanized pipe from eBay arpund £12 at time of purchase and is 9.5mm diameter fits snug onto original hoses
Welder is a basic digital MIG welder using 0.6mm wire with weld set at 90 Amps but may differ with other welders
Top Tip - use the old part as a template get both pipes made up before cutting the brackets off and do a couple of tac welds on sqare brace and keep checking the pipes are in the correct place before adding the other brackets⚡
This took around 2 hours to make from start to finish
I did flare the ends with a brake pipe press but this isn't entirely necessary
Top Tip - plastic over flow on radiator is very brittle so avoid stressing this area⚡
