    It’d be nice to get several of these leds and make a custom lightbar for an off-road vehicle

    Good video! I'm a flashlight zealot. (Enthusiast, geek...whatever) I use them for work, everyday. I carry 2 EDCS , an Olight Baton and a Nitecore MH20. Great lights and super durable. I recently bought the Nitecore E4k, 4400 max lumens but I hate the UI. I have bought an Imalent flashlight your video as convinced me to give it a go! I considered the Nitecore TM9K but the battery is NOT removable. Aww hell naw! Removing a battery is big plus. Thx for a very informative and entertainingn video. Im now a subscriber. I don't know why but i love flashlights! Thx again.

      I think you'll find Olight and Nitecores to be a step above Imalent in overall quality but the sheer output of Imalents are jaw dropping. They are currently dominating market in this regard. I didn't know the TM9K didn't have a removable battery! bummer! I had my eye on it too...I've asked Nitecore to send me a review sample...haven't heard back...too bad.

      I totally agree, but I did purchase the nitecore tm10k and tm9k. Nitecore did this because of the 21700 batteries they use. Normal high drain batteries are about 9amps draw. These Nitecore flashlights are using batteries using well over 30 amps. Especially the tm10k, its using 45amps! This is because of the particular led's which have a denser beam (way better) and further.
      I hope this helps

    Great video,
    I love my imalent dm70 flashlight, but I have read that this flashlight has Issues with turbo.
    Any thoughts?

    • @WellRigged
      @WellRigged  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, the MS03s do have a weird hit-and-miss issue with the turbo occasionally refusing to work. Mine didn't have this issue but Imalent needs to sort this out.

      Btw, they say it's the overuse of Locktite spilling onto the contacts . Remove the Head from the body, scrape the contacts with a wooden chopstick until clean.
      Tada! Fixed!

      @@victornishimoto6029 I don't think that's the actual issue because if you simply unscrew the tail cap and screw it back on the flashlight will work again...mine just started doing it and the new MS06 also has this issue. I'm about to review it too.

    i'm a flashlight enthusiast. lower case e. not overly versed in specs and brands. olight has been my main brand. then klarus. tried thrunite and beside a poor finish i had only trouble with what should have been a warranty. i know. you get what you pay for. anyway, this brand i have heard of but never owned one. i'm willing to broaden scope. how does their finish hold up? and i've found on many lights that turbo looks impressive but after only a few seconds it drops down quick and by a lot. how long b4 this one drops down and by how much? do you get turbo back after cooling down? i've heard some won't return after the initial drop until sufficient cool down time and then a fully charged battery. that last part i've only heard and not experienced. .

    • @WellRigged
      @WellRigged  4 роки тому

      You've got some good observations. Yes, you do get what you pay for. Imalents are lumen monsters, but I think Olight's overall quality is much better. Finish is not as good on the MS03 as Olights. I love my H2R Nova headlamp..my most use light. You're also correct about high output lights stepping down quickly., small high-output flashlights like the MS03 can only sustain turbo for 45 seconds before thermal stepdown occurrs. As I recall teh MS03 has. sustained output of around 2000 lumens. After it cools down you'll only be able to achieve one more 45 second burst at turbo. 13,000 lumens demands enormous power. In terms of the flashlight with max sustained lumens its the Imalent MS18 with a turbo output of 100,000 lumens and a sustained output of 25,000 lumens if i recall properly.

      13k is only 45 seconds according to another video. But lower lumens, 2+ hours.

    • @WellRigged
      @WellRigged  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, its not much, but when you feel the heat out put and that it is all coming out of a single battery...its not surprising it can only handle two 45 second bursts.

      No, it's a glitch
      The battery is 4.15 volts and works fine . The light has plenty of energy but chooses not to let you turn it on again. Glitch in the light, or it's on purpose either way it sucks

    • @WellRigged
      @WellRigged  4 роки тому

      I fixed this problem..there is a glue residue on the battery contact in the head of the flashlight. Imalent suggests taking the blunt end of a chopstick and rubbing off this residue. It works for me. Turbo works fine now.
