- Suter Industries are back for the 2018 Isle of Man TT races fuelled by Monster Energy.
Ten-time TT Race winner Ian Lougher, who rode for the team in 2016, will again tackle the TT Mountain Course on the Suter MMX500 V4 2-Stroke in both the RST Superbike and PokerStars Senior TT Races.
Lougher’s 2016 TT experience with Suter saw him lap at over 121mph on the prototype machine on his way to completing the PokerStars Senior TT Race. The Welshman is one of the most experienced road racers in the world and in addition to his ten TT Race wins he also has 8 wins at the North West 200 and 18 wins at the Ulster Grand Prix in his career.
Lougher took his first TT victory in the 1990 Junior TT in one of the closest races in the event's history, winning by only 1.8 seconds from Steve Hislop, setting new race and lap records that weren’t beaten for nine years.

They will come back. F-1 Is doing tests on two srroke engine for 2024-2025 season, I believe motogp will be the same. It is all about fuel.injection :)

They won’t come back because they are technologically inferior to 4 stroke super bikes. Besides they are horrible for the environment

Haha at the start the HP4 wanted a drag race but got left in the dust and smoke of the two stroke. Now only if we could have a 1000cc 2 stroke to really leave the 4 joke miles behind! 150kg 250hp with taller gearing for TT please :)

1000cc is too much. I prefer 500cc but with Honda or Yamaha technology. They both have 210hp two stroke at the time.

By far the biggest fan of 2-cycle engines on the planet is ME. I'm a kart racer, also an owner of a 2T motorcycle, I just wish I had the money to buy something as insane as the Suter. Great machine!!!

The £135,000 2 stroke is catching the £35,000 4 stroke though.
Limited production bespoke 2 stroke with half the engine capacity. If 2T was regularly produced price would be much lower. We need 1000cc two stroke and you can imagine what would happen.

Wow that powerband is so linear and predictable for 2 stroke but 2 stroke rev up faster than 4 stroke, seems like the engine always in boost but the boost is linear. amazing
is aweson cause the 2 stroke uses the half of total volume than the kawasaki the 2 stroke has 500cc while the kawasaki use 1000cc

This means if one rides the suter or any 2strokes bike and win over 4strokes bike in a race, then he is the beast tamer. I bet the rider arent balls enough to push suter to its limit, cause its has no safety features like most sbk do.

It isn't avaliable anymore but you can buy these things at tyga performance
@@Tiwey oki...Here in Sweden some 2 strokes still are street legal and RS -250 is one of them. Has heard they doesnt last so long with those tuning things. A GP-bike with 75-80 hp only last about 20-30 hours...so it´s nothing for me i think...lol

MMX500 2 stroke never beat 1000c 4 stroke . MMX has 125 punch and 1000cc has 250cc punch at a time

The Suter is 588 ccm...the 2T engine fires every 360° while 4T fires every 720°...however....the last 250 ccm 2T in MotorGP had arround 120 HP...which is about 240 HP per 500 ccm. Strong as that...Suter could compete.
Honda nsr500 is the fastest 2 stroke bike 400hp/liter
No it was not Honda nsr 500 with400 hp/liter, it was ktm 250 with 115-120 hp which is 460-480 Hp/Liter. However, on isle of man you need pur power, and bmw s1000 hp race has 30 hp more than suter 585. Just to be clear... i love this bike
120hp? Ktm? Umm the reference engine in 125/250gp was the aprilia rsa with front disk admission. About 54cv/125cc and +100cv/250cc. Actually 250cc superkart with similar design engine as the rsa 250gp have around 100cv
