Well done on the rebuild , you kept on going despite facing a monumental task and now look at the finished product..... truly beautiful.

I have a 1930s Riley that I have that me and my brother have been wanting to start restoring what is the best way to start?
plan the project , lable evry thing from a knut to a piston , take your time , dont get ANGRY and frow things around , parts are hard to come by
walk away , if its not working , get a garrage big enough , with electric power , my rented garrage has no power , batterys dont last long for tools and lighting , i started on my r me at the front working back , if you can take pannels off , get a clear work area of the car ,
be clean , i took of the hood panels side panels drivers arch pannel , de greesed the engine as , much as i can , engines coming out soon , shes stuck , worked on things if i coukldnt work on the engine ie brakes boot area , took out the front windows , all things that could be done not waiting for parts to come , now stripping her body down shes goin back to bare metal , so front , then engine brakes interior striped linning , , boot under neath , its a project remember , mines not going to be a show car , knuts and bolts , but as good as i can do , hope it helps thomas
bought my r m e in jan 2024 , new she was a long term project, shes a 1950 r m e 1 . 5 , riley , tax disc , yes tax disc on passengers front window says sep 1973, last on road , no history on her other than she is a barn find , AREAL BARN FIND , , sat under a hole in the roof , when it rained snowed , it came right down on the back area , from back of front seats theres no floor rotted awa , no back seats , rotted away , rust, head linning has gone , front seats crusty , but might come around , dash light for heater came on lol when i put a battery on her . , but engines stuck
as in the photo , engine will be coming out , soon , front grill was bent , pulled it out , wher did all the dirt come from, it was every where ,
i am in the prosess of taking her down to bare metal . at moment , with paaint stripper, brakes are good shoes ok . brake pipes gone , tons of greese
under neath , , hoping the oil from the sump didnt all come out , and thats why she s stuck ??? cant remember how much came out
