You tell such a great story not only through the lens of the camera but with an admiration for nature and its creativity to survive. You and your cameras are the eyes for the adventurous. Well done and kudos to the drone footage!
We drove less than 100 miles on interstate during our trip to and from Alaska this summer! Even a trip of 5000 miles each way can be enjoyed by slowing down!
We made it down that road this summer, I hadn't been down it in probably 10 years. Super awesome spot, I'm planning on taking the Arkansas Off-Road Recovery tow truck down there and working on some of the downed trees/bypasses. Those holes filled with water are sand pits where side-by-sides have driven in circles and wallowed them out, they were dry back in the summer.
Those little pond areas are just donut spots for 4wheelers one of my favorite spots to ride about 20 years ago. Love seeing my old hot spots on here everything from White Oak to Pilot Rock
You have the best videos hands down! Great channel keep up the great work. I live vicariously thru your videos while I'm stuck in the office. Thanks for what you do!
Thanks for the awesome video, Matt. It's helping me get through this ICU stay and def lifting my spirits. Great video and thanks again for sharing with us.
We really appreciate the time and effort that you put into each video. It is very inspiring . For many years we have been exploring the Ouachita Mountains in our Jeeps . You could call us Glampers because we base camp out of a Motorhome :) . You have inspired us to consider doing a little bit of tent camping while on the trail . Seeing your setup , we believe it will be easy to organize our 2004 LJ to accommodate the necessary gear for one or two nights on the trail . Hopefully we'll be in your neck of the woods in 2024 , every time we planned to come up this year something came up and we had to cancel our trips . Louisiana doesn't have any mountains , therefore I've been a huge fan of Arkansas for many years . Ya'll take care , keep having fun and maybe some day we'll see you out on the trails .
I’m trying to plan a trip to So Illinois for the eclipse but everything is booked. There’s a lot of places in Arkansas and this video makes me want to go there instead. Arkansas looks a lot like So Illinois. I love forests like that. I live in Colorado now. I’m blessed. Thanks for your videos!!!😊
I grew up riding motorcycles in Mark Twain national Forest. Ya might want to leave the forest to the deer hunters during deer season. Definitely don't bother them. We all need to have fun together. I know that's what we all did growing up. The Ozarks are absolutely beautiful in the fall!
Hi Matt, I hope all is well with you and family. I really enjoyed the video.I Loved the landscape and the trails. Just amazing content. Thank you so very much for sharing. I look forward to more and more adventures from you. Thank you.
Great video bud. Just got my first jeep this year. I plan and hope to be trailing in Missouri here in a few years. Gotta get some basics together first.
We camped at the 2nd spot you found on the piney on our 6 day trip down there this spring. The sandy spot you camped at, there was barely room for 1 rig. We did have several aggressive pigs trying to push us out of our camp spot. Another great video.
Wow, what a great video and great scenery. You always have such cool videos, but there was something about this one in this area, you were right..... Thanks for sharing and great editing and great footage.
Can I just say, when you came accross the "ponds" in this video I was really hoping you would flash back to one of my favorate OG scenes where you totally sunk your Wrangler in what looked like a very innocent mud puddle :)
❤❤ great video Matt. I recently did a weekend with a group. New concept for myself as I’m a pretty lone wolf kinda overlander. I had a blast at the slower pace. Had to stop and enjoy the areas as we waited for rigs to go over obstacles. Definitely need to try that bespoke post.
it seems like every trail I get on I come to a road closed or something, it got to the point to where I just pretty much stopped looking for new trails or what have you, not to say that I do not venture out and try to spot them . I would like to come join you all on a trip sometime but IDK if my old ranger would make the trip
great hidden sports to camp! spot 1 looked like 5-7 rigs could fit, in a pinch..but spot 2, and 3, holy cow, quite a few rigs could camp there...! (like you said depending on water levels ) hint hint patreon weekend in the future.... hope that guy in the red gladiator wasn't the reason you needed to leave early...
Careful now, for the second time in as long as I've watched your vids (~4 years now), @26:12 you make a proper overlander's decision. Which was to avoid the yawbo's route and play it safe and secure. THAT is what separates the amateurs from the seasoned vets of adventure travel. (or, what separates the "send it" crowd from the overlander crowd) About time. And well done.
I love watching your Ozarks videos. Looks like a great place to explore. What is that squeaking on your jeep? I’ve been hearing that for a while now in your videos. Is that the Clayton suspension?
Love all the content Matt and love seeing you guys together trailing. I’m curious about the star link system and was wondering what one to get or how to get it? Thank you again
Another great video.... and advice Matt. I was wondering if you use any footage in your videos from your dash cam since you installed it? I was able to get that same dash cam on Amazon during their Black Friday sales. I look forward to installing it soon. Thank you.
I've actually used a couple clips from it recently. One was a short clip of a bear running across the road. I had just turned my gopro off but got it with the dash cam and used it in the video.
did you ever mention or detail the repairs needed after Pritchett? seems like you got back on the road quickly. I know that was months ago, but it just came to mind.
Can your Bluetooth AC180 start your Vevor diesel heater using the car plug? I’m asking because most diesel heaters require at startup 9-11 amps to heat the glow plug. Most all diesel heaters have a 12v 10amp regulated car socket falling short of 11 amps.
Im suprised you never been dwn there ive always herd tht area called the sand bowl,s when i was about 13 there use to be a big 8 track there but i was told a kid got killed & the forestry flattend it out since then the atv’s & ohv,s have made the bowls by spinning donuts in the sand
Hey Matt! I’m sure you’ve answered this before, but what brand is the tailgate cover you’re using to cook on? I’m looking at getting one for my RAM. Thanks!
Great video as usual! Do you have a video where you go over your camera gear, software, or process that you use to create these wonderful videos? If not, would you mind telling us? I can tell that a lot of effort goes into them! Thank you!

Matt, Great video…notice you don’t use your kitchen slide much. Thoughts? I’ve seen the OVS one and have thought about possibly getting one, but might be going a different direction in the future.
I like your gladiator and I am thinking about getting one. Is it ok on fuel mileage and I would like to fix me one up like your if it is possible I would like to see the inside of yours and I love watching y’all’s videos and to see goose

NICE spot!!! Okay the round “ponds” those are bowl’s they are created by atv’s and side by side’s doing circles.

We've encountered that spot with all the water holes before after alot of rain. Very fun, very tricky, and very muddy.
17 psi sounds good on the tires. I like odd numbers on radio volume as well 😜

They are Oracle. I’ve had them for a year and a half.
I have a Ford F250 4x4 crew cab 8 foot bed, so it's big. I have a question for you. Are there any easy trails in the Ozarks for this big truck?
Yes there are plenty of easy trails in the Ozarks.

We have not. We don’t have named trails like they have out west so it’s difficult to just do forest service numbers.
