it is from the touhou community, and it really is about a girl that has fallen in love with another girl that died and got brought back as an animated corpse by the other girl that is an immortal and is waiting for someone to kill her so they both can just be dead together.
It isn't necrophiliac if you actually do your research about the canon lore, but the fandom does taint it like always, the same with Pokémon and bestiality. Touhou has a lot of troupes that touch mortality, immortality and love bonds, both platonic and romantic, regarding a reasonable chunk of characters that are just monsters/gods, stories happening in Gensoukyou makes it just natural.

I see a LOT of sexualized zombies on toyhouse, zombie/frankenstein girl character that has at least one nsfw art or a lot of suggestive art, including sexually suggestive gore. Isn't that worrisome? It never lifted drama though.
I was a huge fan of Joycawn's and even had the privilege at one point to buy and own one of her character designs. This news has been pretty devastating, but honestly at this point I'm hardly surprised by anyone. So many creators, even just this year, have been called out and at this point it feels like it's just a matter of "who's next".
I also feel like the mask has been slipping for a while because she left MULTIPLE times on multiple platforms pretty abruptly and nearly without warning. She said it was for mental health reasons but it just seems avoidant.
Not to mention she's verbally admitted to all of this in an acknowledgement video. Even though I was a huge fan I ended up selling the design I got from her (That I loved very dearly) because this is so disturbing.

One thing you haven’t mentioned also is that Joycawn has a young fanbase, most of her followers are young teens and children and of course they’re fans of her so they look up to her, posting this kind of content in spaces filled with impressionable kids is just gross
Also, in case you don’t know (since you didn’t mention it) 0:24 “Flanmarisa” refers to the ship of Flandre Scarlett & Marisa Kirisame from Touhou, while they don’t have specific ages, Marisa is canonically a teenager and Flandre a child, she’s said to be the equivalent of a 10 years old (she’s a vampire so of course she’s thousands of years old but young for her specie).
So basically the age gap is comparable to Mari & Aubrey

@@miaow650 well it’s a complicated situation given the lack of official ages but Flandre (and her big sister Remilia) are def portrayed as children in canon & fanon, they’re tiny compared to the others, have childish traits and you’ll see Flandre portrayed with a Teddy Bear in most fan media, Marisa is just a teenager but she lives on her own and is clearly mature in that regard, she acts more mature than well… Flandre.
I mean even if she defends herslef against that there’s always the Aubrey-Mari ship and her gross nsfw art of Made in Abyss characters who are literal children, art which has the characters drawn feral may I add

Though there is one thing I wanna point out about omosun. idk if its TRULY selfcest because im pretty sure omori is intended or at leaat implied to an alter and therefore is basically his own person, just sharing a body similar to or just straight up being DID. I totally blanked on responding to this,, so super sorry for the giant delay!! The main issue with the ship is the age gap, the finer details such as fan-theories / maybe implied things are not really in need of being considered because of that👍

this actually makes me so disappointed and i refuse to believe any of this because when joycawn actually had her channel i literally IDOLIZED her. and her animation memes has gotten me into art, and back then i would always trace her art and i would always find ways to make my artstyle just like hers because i loved her THAT MUCH. i was actually so sad to search her channel just so see it was deleted, and these allegations make things a lot more worse. i hope joycawn can improve not only her art but also herself someday :(

1. about the current allegations:
ive already heard about the feral, cp and proship things and i dont condone them at all, its a fucked up thing to do.
though the reason behind this may be that joycawn either got groomed or is in a fricked up environment (which happened to me in the past, i was manipulated into those things at a really young age), but i dont even know anything about her personal life so literally anything couldve happened to her.
whenever she gets the help she needs and changes from this, i still wouldnt support her but i would be glad if she at least got help.
again, im NOT condoning her actions.
i was just stating that she doesnt necesserally have bad intents and she might also be a victim.
but yeah, thats still NOT ACCEPTABLE from her and people should still stay away from her until she gets professional help so they arent getting hurt.
2. about the song in that animation:
i personally dont think thats an issue.
i sometimes listen to songs with slurs (as a stress relief mostly) but that doesnt mean i support discrimination and no one sees the issue with it because im not saying slurs. also, not everyone reads the comments or the lyrics before listening to a song i guess, i was like that when i was younger. but joycawn probably knows about it so yeah, that was a bad idea to still use that song.
yeah the song part definitely is a debatable topic!! it doesn’t seem too much of an issue to me personally especially because the part included is very lighthearted ig?
tho she should know better given he’s part of the fandom it’s made for + the top comments def are a red flag!!

@@miaow650 tbh, i now personally read the lyrics and comments under the songs i listen to unlike when i was younger bc i now acknowledged that being aware of the lyrics of a song before using it for a video is important. so yeah, joycawn should also know better i guess, considering theyre an adult.
but its also a quite common mistake tbh, it was the same to the cat kitty cat cat meme too (i heard the lyrics was s3xual or smth but it might be misinfo so...) and it was a trend last year or in 2021. but maybe it really depends on the way theyre used, as long as they arent intended to come off as inappropriate i wouldnt be mad at someone for using the said song.
and i never knew joycawn has friends under 18 until now but yeah i also think its concerning that theyre exposed to those things. (if theyre aware of it)

The way I see it here is, if it's a fictional drawing with no minors being harmed or exploited to make the content, then treat it like any other depiction of art that would be considered heinous and illegal if done IRL- a thought, not a call to action. Sure, you can find it gross, disturbing, but don't consider it the same as pedophilia because it hurts actual victims by conflating a drawing to a traumatic experience an actual living person went through and has to live the rest of their life with.
The issue here is the person who posted this here considers the content as child porn. If they hold the same standard with drawings, CGI, 3D, any other fictional media as they would an actual media containing CSAM, then by their standard, they're sharing child porn. Doesn't matter if they're clout chasing or whatnot, they're equally guilty distributing child porn as the person they're talking about.
The most logical, ethical, and legal thing a person does if they come across CP is to report it to the authorities, not share it to people (including children) so they can garner likes.

media that depicts children in sexual situations and sexualize them (unrealistic as it may be) are as demoralizing as female characters in media that are depicted only and solely as a love interest, are given 0 depth on personality/story and are often sexualized on screen or described in a very suggestive way when all they're doing is just existing. Sexualization of children in media work in similar ways, as in giving a suggestive filter over common child-like behavior, or even transforming the child into a love interest once they're grown.
