clock any step sequencer at audio rate with an oscillator and you have this very thing

In the modular world you can accomplish many things in different ways but this oscillator offers more than that. I mean you can store up to 5 presets, sample & hold 2 modulation sources and internal noise, assign those to each segment and more... pretty unique if you ask me :)

Not at audio rate. You need to clock at audio rate multiplied by the amount of steps per cycle. TS0's VCO goes up into the hundreds of kHz. And then at that point, you still wouldn't have individual segment modulation, Sample and HOld, or presets. I get what you're saying, you can do *similar* ideas with a sequencer and clock, but saying "you have this very thing" is a gross overstatement, no?

@@westonprecisionaudio I don't know hat sequencers you have but I was doing this for years with several sequencers at audio rate and works perfectly. Some of them just collapse at a certain frequency, sometimes in a useful way if you like glitches. Yeah, without all those bells and whistles you said, but it works anyway. About presets, if your sequencer have patter memories it's done, and S&H, well, you can do it with a zillion options and also at audio rate for SRR effects if you like

@@westonprecisionaudio just an advice: is not good for your image to answer haters personally. Just leave bootlickers to do the job for you. UA-cam is full of them (just saw the previous answer from DANIELE). This is more than enough to encourage others like him to throw whatever stupid argument in, and you will have an army in no time to support your products. It's an army of morons but an army anyway.

@@liantrosretrospectiva4134 Alright well sounds like you're covered then. Whatever makes you happy! There's still something to be said for a having functionality of several modules together in one plus some extras, no? BTW, this will track nicely up even to high C 8.2kHz (audible) which means the clocking osc is going at 100kHz. Most euro oscillators will not do that and the clockinput of a sequencer is likely not setup to handle a 100kHz input.
