You're welcome. It wasn't anywhere near $60,000, though! Somewhere around $10,000 - $15,000 worth of trains in this video... all paid for by ad revenue from the UA-cam videos.

Do they ever comment on the light show on the carpet in my office? I expected that people would post lots of comments about those lights... wondering why I have those. But nobody seems to ask me about those. The reason for those lights is they entertain the dog. When I'm in my office and she comes in to check up on me, I will sometimes turn on those lights to get a reaction out of her. She loves them! In fact, if the lights are not on, often times she will come in and sit down under my desk, pawing at the carpet and whining until I turn them on.
Jim this was so gratifying to watch! Wow I just love the sights and sounds of the train running through your beautiful house! Love the camera angles and the train track placements…how long did this take you to set up? Oh and at the very end .. i didn’t see that coming either … thank you Jim for sharing, loved it! It took all day on Monday to set it up. On Tuesday I shot the video. On Wednesday morning I made a very quick second video with a different train... a video which I'll save and release a few weeks from now. By lunch time on Wednesday, all the tracks were put away and the house was back to normal.

You should have done a time lapse of you laying the track that would have been cool. Love the layout I thought it was going to go outside. The dog says ill fix this noise. Tech question are all your trains DCC? and do you run DC/DCC on your track. Thank you Jim for sharing and a big thank you to your wife im sure she loves the trains also.
I have about 25 different locomotives, and some are DCC and others are analog. So, I have both DCC and analog control systems that I can use, depending on which train I want to run. In a lot of my videos you'll see analog locomotives running on one set of tracks next to DCC locomotives on another set of tracks. In today's video, though, it's just one set of tracks with a DCC controller for the LGB train which has built-in DCC.

Great layout Jim! Love that engine and cars. Are those usa trains passenger cars? If so how do you like them? I've been thinking about making that my next project train to build.
My friend's son says you need a bigger house and I say you need a few passenger depots to let the passengers on and off. Some got to eat and visit you know!
Ha! We've only lived here for two years now after moving from a house less than half this size... and we've already maxed out the amount of train track that will fit! Luckily, I have a big yard... so, once the warmer weather hits, I look forward to running the trains in the much more wide open spaces in my back yard.
I usually buy mine from www.trainworld.com If you sign up for their emails, they will notify you when they have a sale. That's when I place my orders. They do this right around most holidays. I imagine the next one will be Thanksgiving week. The only thing I don't like about trainworld is that when you order from their web site, they have no way of telling you what the actual shipping charges will be. It is always added later, after you've placed your order. They don't rip you off or anything... they charge normal UPS ground prices... but it's just a little frustrating to not know how much that shipping charge is going to be for something heavy, like track, until the charge shows up on your credit card bill. But like I said, their shipping charges are not unreasonable... and I almost always order from them because they do seem to have good pricing, and I just need to relax and not stress out about the unknown price of shipping.

Currently my grandkids' favorite Jim Zim train video. We have to watch the dog derail the train multiple times each day.

I don't think they make Gordon in G scale. He might be available in other types of model trains such as HO, but not G scale... as far as I know.
