I really like this Étude. It sounded so strange and quirky when I first heard it, but it really grew on me the more I listened.

If this piece can be played slightly faster and with less apparent effort, the true beauty comes out.

I got bit hard by efficiency later on, but in my violin playing. My fingers would lift off the strings when not in use and that limited my top speed. Not the best thing for a violinist 😅

Same goes for piano. If you lift those fingers up high, you're no longer efficient. It's a technical discipline.

I really like your videos sir but isn’t the first tip kind of misleading? Rotation of the wrist is absolutely necessary in this etude to build up speed and avoid tension

Is so many videos of that particular piece of music. I watch them all. There’s nothing there for middle grade Piano Student. Importance of arpeggios broken or pictures in F sharp major in order keys. Transposition is the mother of knowledge. To reach better results Student should transpose fifth piece of music in all Keys. Practice unison with the left hand . It could be white keys piece of music. It’s so many ways to improve rhythmical study of that music and even improvising in that style. But video is very good and it’s designated to improve Vladimir Horowitz other Advance piano player technic.
