Hello Janice, I enjoy watching you on UA-cam. You do it with so much grace and classiness. I live in Florida and thinking about relocating in France. I speak French and have been to Paris and Lourdes . Congratulations on your amazing channel.
I understand and as a born in New Jersey and lived here my life I am SO SORRY 😭😭😭… I can’t believe this is happening here it is absolutely awful with this guy winning. And THIS is what our fellow citizens want ? I imagine you want to go back . I’m proud of those folks marching in DC today they are spirit lifting during a dark time .
@ I never get into politics on my UA-cam page, but I will remind you that I did not move here because of any political situation because I moved here in 2021 right after the pandemic. My need to move here started back in the 80s when I lived in Africa thank you so much for your comment. I do appreciate it.
My goal is to also study and live in France and I have been there for 3 years before. I love the culture, art, beauty, the French mentality, slow life pace, the desire to enjoy life, the incredible food, the stunning architecture, the class, the style, the fashion, the development, the French pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, the chic French old ladies and gentlemen, the baguette and cheese and wine, the museums, the little authentic shops and bistros, the French joie de vivre, the romantic language, everything, even the casual snobby attitude that adds to the French charm. To me, it is the most perfect country to live in, that has absolutely everything within, from the iconic most beautiful capital in the world, to the chic southern beaches of the French Riviera, the French Alps for skiing and the picturesque little towns and villages and vineyards. It is the perfect country that symbolizes the creme de la creme of Western culture.
Janice, I never get tired of watching your videos. ❤ Btw love your outfit, the black dress in the beginning of the video also the hat with beige jacket and scarf when you went to grocery shopping looked so nice on you 😊
Hi Janice! Haven’t followed you long, but just realizing your daughter is in the Atlanta area. I live in Roswell! My son also graduated from Southern Poly (now Kennesaw). He is a softwear developer. If I could, I would be a fellow expat. I love the lifestyle in France as I love to shop local and in small shops. I also follow a channel called “French Vibes”. She lives just outside of Menton on the Rivera in a midieval village. She has a wonderful cooking channel as well. Enjoyed your video and look forward to following your journey!❤
Both of my daughters try to tell me what to do. They think I need to move from beautiful PNW to South Carolina. I want to live in France, but my SS is not enough to live there. So I practice French on Duolingo, continue tutoring kids with dyslexia.
You are so funny Janice, the scrubbing when stressed. I am sorry for all the footage you lost. Btw, you are petite and lovely. I enjoyed so much our conversation over coffee at the “Le train Blue”. I can’t wait to meet you again. Also, thank you for explaining about how to buy fruit from the Supermarket. I wanted to buy bananas the other day when I was in Paris but ended up buying mineral water instead!😂. I was lost with the procedure, of course I am returning so please let me know what is it you like from Costco. You are funny and absolutely adorable. I hope you don’t mind me calling you it. You have no weight to loose, you are fine! Bye for now:)
My niece has a frother and uses it all the time. I got myself an espresso machine from Breville, Sage in Europe. I have two lattes every morning and sometimes make it a mocha. Its one of those things I didn't know I can't live without until I had one. I wonder if your frother would whip cream? I know why I would love to move to France, it's just I'm not in a position to. I love being there.
Hi Janice, I love the stories that you post on your channel. You are in France because it’s beautiful, calming and gives you a sense of living in a place that’s open for many possibilities. When I heard you say ginger beer, my ears peaked up even more. -:) We drink that beverage a lot in the Caribbean. You can also make your own. It’s really easy. 😆Recipe: ginger root (grated), boiled in a proportionate amount of water for about 25 minutes, sugar to taste and vanilla essence. The amount of water determines how strong you want to make the ginger beer. Strain the grated ginger from the water before adding sugar and vanilla essence. Chill in fridge until cold. There’s nothing better than a cold glass of ginger beer! Enjoy!
Fun video Janice! I am in metro Atlanta! I use my frother to emulsify salad dressing. We were in Paris and Fontainebleau the end of April last year. Lovely.
So good to see you actually in Fountainbleu today. I am reading "Finding Fountainbleu" by Thad Carhart. He lived there as child in 1952 and has revisited many times. Besides the history of the Chateau, he writes of the USA presence after the war, his family of seven, schools he attended, etc. There is a lot to discover/research in that immediate area: the church in Avon, the Barbizon School, the forest. Myself, I liked riding a bicycle around the chateau and town,. I bought the book on Amazon.
@@JaniceInFrance I wonder about the history of your apartment building. It looks like military housing of long ago. Also worth discovering is the Louis Malle film "Au revoir, les infants" whose story unfolded in the area. School children in Avon once did a project documenting the sad episode. I think your town is a perfect choice for an American and the Episcopal church there seems to welcome everyone.
Hi there: As always, lovely video. May I make a suggestion about vegetable soup? Add a can of white beans. It will add protein to your soup which we older women need to maintain muscle mass.
You’re in France because it makes you feel alive and at peace. You are able to grow emotionally and spiritually whereas the USA with all its current problems could never afford you. You knew your health and well-being were of utmost importance and France has provided you with the solution. I know this is my current reality and why I seek relocation. USA is emotionally and spiritually killing me. I looked to other religions for answers and realized I don’t need a new religion, I’m Christian, I need to live in a healthier and more peaceful country. Kudos for you for realizing your dream. I have no idea if I’m correct about the reason you moved and choose to stay in France, but I can say you seem so much more at peace than the majority of Americans these days.
I never really knew why I was here, but you just hit the nail on the head. I mean, I always knew that there was a pool in a draw and that I loved it here but wow, you just kinda just nailed everything.
@@JaniceInFrancehmmm….I suppose we truly are helping each other. I never thought Europe could be even a possibility for relocation. I inaccurately assumed it would be extremely difficult and a bureaucratic nightmare to ever seriously consider it. I looked to only Mexico, central and South American countries. Now I’m including Europe as a real possibility. I sincerely thank you for introducing me to Europe and France in particular. I’m going to keep my mind open to any and all possibilities. I figure when I am in the place where I need to be, I’ll know it, I’ll feel it. Thank you for your videos and sharing yourself with us all. You truly are an inspiration to many of us!
I love the produce in France, especially the radishes. Somehow they taste richer than in the US and I'm not even a radish fan.. When there last June I went to a "supermarche" near my hotel and watched other people using the price marking machine for the produce so I could learn how to use it, since my French is not strong enough to have a conversation and ask. I have had a frothier like yours for a couple of years now and love it. I froth almond milk since I don't drink cows milk. I get down and scrub my grout as well. Can't wait to see how the filler goes. I have been thinking about doing it for a while. Is it cheaper in France?
Well done for 28000+👍the food shopping looks like great choices Janice, glad you explained why you call the boyfriend the boyfriend as I thought you did not really like him ,so it's lovely to know you like him and his family❤ it would have been nice to see you prepare your soup😀😂😀janice but we could hear the knife, I don't know why you are in France but I can't think of a better place for you ❤🍷❤

I'm first one here! Wish it was a live one, I never get notices about those when I am already here. Living where medical (life) is so much easier & cheaper is sounding better all the time. I'd be all over a translation app for sure. I am not sure what some of the fruits & veggies I saw are. I'd like to see how the filler works out, I don't recall seeing what the Botox did or didn't do. Show us cutting the veggies! You need to set up your camera properly, otherwise it's boring to watch. Your prescription glasses look a bit old-fashioned and they date you imo. Have you thought about upgrading them? Thicker frames have been more stylish for years, or you could have prescription sunglasses and buy a really cool frame like the Celine triomphe. I have a small head too, if you wear a plain beanie under your other hat, it normally helps to keep the bigger hat in place.
I just bought my glasses and I love them and I have so many compliments because they match my hair. I’m sorry you don’t like them, but I happen to think through the best glasses I’ve had in a long time except for some Tiffany ones I bought years ago. You’re correct I should have aimed the camera correctly. It was very boring, but I’m glad you stuck it out with me and thank you for that. Always thank you for comments. Have a fabulous day.
